  1. Not the same player but I reckon you play him similar to Jeremy Cameron, let him get involved all around the ground using his peg to deliver 50m darts.
  2. Professional unit to deliver a professional game. Its either a grind to the end where I expect our class to shine above (See port game) or they roll over and dees by 40+ w/ 3 Kozzie goals.
  3. All for Maysie in, it its just pain management giving him a test run against the crows vs against the lions is much better, trust us to cover him if he can't run the game out against the crows a lot more.
  4. I think there's a 90% chance Tex is rested this week, everyone on Adelaide big footy say his back is shot right now, can't run, can't bend over, can't get his arms above his head. He's also coming off of a 6 day break and a 4 hour flight. However, hard to say since the consensus on Adelaide big footy is they want about 8 dropped including a newly extended coach.
  5. My dream would be Sam Taylor or Weitering, both have contracts ending 2025 but I don’t see either leaving. Weitering maybe if the blues capitulate
  6. PROS: - MAX GAWN - Lowering the eyes going into FWD 50, harder to tell whether it was due to lack of Carlton ability but great to see the bomb it forward approach. - Defense held strong against the best KPF duo in the league, May will still dominate but need a replacement sooner rather than later, he is on the slight decline but still a monster. -Sparrow, I forget who it was that said it but Sparrow either has or needs to realize what he can do, Trac knows he can run through tackles and sparrow started to show he can impact, that step was silky. CONS - Goal kicking, expect this to get better but too many shanks and Fritta is too good for the return he had today. - 2nd ruck, Schache doesn't have the mongrel needed to compete 1v1 in the ruck. - Not seeing Clarry play :( - Kozzie getting me excited and making me wait 2 weeks to see him play.
  7. Salo is not the same type of player as Gus but I imagine it will be similar, where he can provide support down back but silky skills to help the offensive. That's the structural similarity that makes me think it will be fine.
  8. I will say do we ever expect Tommo to match up with McKay? His main job is just to try and do enough to let Lever come and intercept, most of the times he got exposed was on turnover which is a big ask for any defender against the likes of Harry. But yeah Schache cannot ruck, JvR is better in almost everyway.
  9. Yes but at the same time Max limited, Trac also slightly limited and no clarry or Brayshaw. Kozzie as always just seemed to walk through the contest and come out with the ball when put in the middle
  10. I think that this year will be make or break for Salo, 2 years of interrupted football has left him below his 2021 best, but as long as he has a strong preseason I think he can return to form. We also have to remember a thyroid issue isn't as black and white as an injury. It messes up hormones and other systems that can take months to return to normal and have immense effect on an elite athlete's ability to perform at 100%.
  11. is there a link to the stream this year? I could only find last years streams? Cheers.
  12. Obviously not result we wanted, gutted to say the least, the continued ability to dominate all key stats and just keep the door open for the opponent has to be the main focus this summer. Regardless of how hollow I feel with the season being over and the RDB news I can't help but still be proud. This club was an embarrassment for so long and just watching us win games and consistently knowing we will compete has been an honour. From the game: How good was May, Curnow was nullified, take a bow sir. I felt like Spargo was much better than I expected. Where did Judd McVee come from, kid is a top 10 player in my eyes, the class, skill and nerve of him is unreal. We lost the game in the 1 area we have all been scared of for the past 2-3 years, we just lack the ability to score, we work to hard to score a scrappy goal and then in the past two weeks we respond by letting the Pies and Blues waltz out of the centre bounce and erase our work. In the magical year that was 21 we were that team, cruising out the front of stoppage but this year it seemed to be absent. Still bullish on next year but feel like if it doesn't happen next year it makes sense to hit a mini rebuild to ensure a Geelong level of success for the next decade. I expect that we see Gus hang them up and that will be a massive loss for us not only for his playing ability but his leadership and apparent relationships with all the boys.
  13. Come on now, we weren't great last year whether that be to fitness and lingering injuries, but this year we have been shafted with injuries in the position we are most thin, losing Melk, Petty, Frisch for time, and still finished in 4th, took the Pies to the end after losing a Grade A player. Goody has continued to provide results and given us a chance to win. Is it perfect? No but lets not act like he has had access to the full arsenal.
  14. After watching some highlights as a way to pass the time, besides the obvious great leap his ability to get the ball off the ground is nice and he seems to apply pressure and chase well, two things we desperately need as BBB and TMac have aged and Milk effectively out all of next year. I think this will be similar to the Lachie Hunter acquisition where he may not be an A grader but will play his role well and allow us to fill a hole for relatively cheap. He also has better upside than Hunter in a position we need.
  15. Agree, we have been pretty unlucky with injury, petty and melk who when in had us looking good
  16. Over the course of the season just everything that Rivers has done, turning into an elite player in front of us. As a single football moment Lachie Hunter bowling over Hoskin Elliot is everything I love about football and the dees. Hard, contested, in your face and just tough. silky smooth skills are fun and all but give me a big Legal bump/tackle/hit any day
  17. I back our style and brand over there's for finals and I do think Daicos is more important to them than anyone has been for us ATM. should be a great game though
  18. He also went at something like 50-60% efficiency, he wasn’t Uber damaging
  19. I think the biggest obstacle is Curtain, you'd assume the reason that WCE trade out is to get Curtain and another, but there is no guarantee curtain will be there at 4-5, he is the best KPD in the draft and something any bottom team needs. Why would WCE risk giving up Reid and then not getting what I can assume is their guy in Curtain in a trade.
  20. I agree, both teams have enough changes that it’s more of a clean slate compared to the last game, didn’t convey that well enough.
  21. Their next 5 years of Academy players are all the best too, Dimma knows what he's doing, go to a club where the AFL wants them to win and will do anything they can. I wonder when they restrict the zoning they get, probably after their 2nd three peat I imagine
  22. Doesn't matter how good the talent is if the team doesn't know how to win, I also Imagine WC want Curtain so don't care and Nth may be eyeing the Sanders and Mckercher duo.
  23. Chandler is a small forward they will never be on 100% of the time, I love his effort though, he has the speed and aggression to impact when he doesn't have the ball something I think Spargo lacks,
