Hence the use of the word occasionally

I hope any spoil that goes high against us on the weekend, that Melbourne supporters kick and scream for a report.

Bypass the appeals board, they’re on the afl take and take it straight to the Supreme Court. Then sue the AFL for gross incompetence.

Spare a quick thought for the kid. A handful of games, now walks away from the tribunal thinking he’s done something wrong. They obviously didn’t believe a word he said otherwise he’d be playing this week.
I hope this doesn’t change the way JVR plays.
A very disappointing decision.

This won’t change the game forever   Just using jvr as an example  to show how concerned the corporation is. No one else will get pinger for such a spoil.

[censored] disgusted.

If it were another player from another team he would have got off.

Absolute joke.

We should appeal further again.

Gleeson states they believe his intention is to spoil the ball.

Then he's allowed to contest the ball as per their rules, how is this not a massive contradiction. Surely we appeal again.

Club needs to come out right now and say “This is a [censored] farce and we are [censored] appealing this”

Unfortunately we are still on AFL welfare. Suspect we will get told to wear it or there could be ramifications.

As soon as the Geelong guy went down I thought the Van was in trouble. Suspect the tribunal has been worded up to back the MRO after a succession of tribunal hearings overturning the MRO.

The club must surely appeal again. Van Rooyen's only intent, as clearly shown in the video evidence, was to execute a spoil.  To suggest he committed a reportable offence is laughable. Even for the ever-inconsistent tribunal, this must surely be one of the most bizarre decisions ever made.

I am completely shocked at this - I really thought JVR had nothing to answer for let alone be rubbed out for two weeks

Concerning because it could absolutely change the way he played.

Remember Brad Miller? Was never the same player that showed showed so much promise as an aggressive CHF after he got rubbed out a few times.

This is where we say as a club enough is enough..

Yes...go Ballistic.  Throw everything and the sink back at this joke of an organisation.. An organisation by the way that is there to do our bidding not the other way around. Time to pull on the big pants and remind these clowns just who the F we are...and who they are.....our employees!!

Time to wake up this comp .
