Do we see Trac coming off soon and letting Smith have a run forward.

Nope. If anyone it needs to be a small forward. Again we’re struggling with all bar Kozzie wanting to be at fall of the ball.

Lacking another tall target up forward, bring Smith on as another option. If Brown continues as he is, I’d have him ‘strain a toenail’. That’s subbable

Lever walked off ok into the race yeh?  He appeared to trip on a blade of grass coming in to stand the mark there and tweaked an ankle?

This game should be over but more worrying is the lack of any finals flair

We literally are limping towards the finish line

One my favourite facets of what makes some boxers great is heart. Taking punches and continuing to fight like all hell no matter the odds and just willing yourself to keep going.

We’re going to need all the heart we can muster to beat Geelong/Sydney/Collingwood to get there.

Doggies did it in 2016, no reason we can’t.

That is just really bad to give that last goal away.

Even worse when it's centre bounce and we would've known how long was left

Any word on Lever?

Rolled ankle. Should be fine.

Was completely fine on the bench. Not even treated.

Is it just me or is this a pretty average game?

We have a handy lead should be more but I am certainly not feeling like it’s over.

1/2 time

️Clarry

️kozzzy

️Trac

👍🏻langers petty Harmes

just okay and winning by 22

🥔Jackson captain fumbles all night - could’ve taken 7 marks but fumbled them all

🥔sparrow gotta bounce da ball !!
🥔brown gotta not run straight into defender

? Spargo ?

Nick Riewoldt when asked how did you play as a forward, answer all I tried to do was keep on the run even when if the ball was further downfield and keep leading, run my opponent around all day, hey might be worth a try saves just bombing it in again.

Worried about this 2nd half.

We have so many banged up bodies out there it's not funny.

We have been absolutely deplorable when it comes to goals in the last minutes of quarters. I reckon we'd be a lot more stable if we could do that from happening. Two outta two tonight.

It’s not good at all. Very bland and far from the usual intensity of a final

Brayshaw doing a good job on Neale.  9 disposals and not a heap of influence.

Would love to be further ahead.  Looking sore again, but time to dig deep and get the job done this quarter.

Trac looks v v sore not sure he should be out there

There's about six out there that are going to be dubious by the last. Should be aN interesting finish if we don't bury them in the third

Trust issues but happy to be up and keep a high scoring team to 3 goals for a half. Just need to get a quick start to the 3rd and bury this mob.

Just have to kick the first few goals and kick straight

I saw him do that same thing at training about 6 weeks ago. It took him 10 minutes to recover. Got no idea what that is about except he has an ankle with a mind of its own sometimes.

This is definitely not a great quality game. Miles away from the great contest against the Swans.
Hopefully different result.

Put Harmes on Zorko for the first 10 mins or so....appeared to be their main play maker that quarter.

Is Gus still on Neale?

Fritta needs to stay with Andrews on the transition.  Giving him too much room IMV.

Reckon we get overrun from here. Just too many injuries to key players, and no forward presence out of Kozzie to drag us over the line

With so many of our players limping, roll the dice to see who smith replaces,  early In the third I think. Go Dees

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
