Most well known Dees supporter amoungst the supporter base?

In the 90s there was the bloke who ran the cheersquad, the name Hokko printed on the back of a Dees hoodie comes to mind but that could be misremembered through the fog of time.

There’s a legend who sits in the AFL members. He’s got a shaved head, strong moustache, uggs & a blue Bonds singlet and there each week. Love his work.

One of the blokes from Aunty Donna.

Gotta be BBO.
From what SWYL has said, he is also famous in Thailand now.

Thank you Neil.

However, I am rather hurt that it took until the second page of the thread for my modest good self to be nominated.

Wilbur Wilde. Have been at the footy with him…..loves the Dees.

Hamish has had many mentions, but his comedy companion Ryan Shelton is a mad Melbourne supporter. Ryan shares "The Imperfects" podcast with Hugh Van Cuylenburg; their interview with Max is pure gold. Ryan in 7th heaven interviewing Max.

While he plays a Tiges fan on SEN, I've heard Mario from Doncaster actually barracks for us.

Where did you get this info from?

Good show. Went to school with Hugh, excellent bloke.

Mid eighties, when I was a young teen, there was a cropped haired redhead who would stand in the bleaches of the 'G, Jolimont end. There every single game, like me, & be looking away from the ground, with a 'who wants some?' stare.

He was the Dees version of 'the firm'. Feared him & admired him at same time as these were days when you would draw fire from anyone purely for wearing our jumper - this guy had the look of 'bring it'. Saw him get into trouble w/ police a few times.

Always wondered what became of him, I doubt he's on here, but hope he is & that he lived to see 2021.

Thats the fascinating thing about familiar faces at the 'G. I still see people I've seen for 40 years of going - we all share the same love/devotion & have lived through the same dark ages - even though we don't speak it doesnt matter - there's a connection.

Sooshi Mango boys (Carlo and Joe).

I was pushing my kid in a pram one day with a Melbourne jacket on and I here someone scream at the top of their voice “CARN THE MIGHTY DEES”. Turned around and it was Archie Thompson riding his bike. Didn’t know he was a Dee. Makes sense now.

Was he the bloke that wore the #45 80s Ricky Jackson hoodie? Pretty sure he was. Very famous indeed.

  • GAMEDAY: Richmond

It's Game Day on Friday night. ANZAC Eve. The big stage at the ‘G. The Demons return to the spotlight for one of our most significant nights on the football calendar, taking on the Tigers in a clash that always carries extra weight given the gravity of occasion of the commemoration of the ANZAC Spirit. Under the lights, in front of a packed house, this is where moments are made. Can the Dees rise to the occasion and deliver on the big stage, or will Richmond spoil the night? All the build-up, discussion, and in-game reactions here. Go Dees.

  • NON-MFC: Round 7

Round 7 is here, with the ANZAC commemoration games taking centre stage. Who are you tipping this week, and which results would be most favourable for the Demons?

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

Before Sunday, the last time the Brisbane Lions had walked onto the turf of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, they celebrated the pinnacle of the sport - an AFL premiership secured in emphatic fashion for the second consecutive year.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

From the outset, the Casey Demons lacked any spring in their steps. They were out-hustled and out-bustled and finally outplayed by the Brisbane Lions by 38 points on their home turf in perfect conditions at Casey Fields.
