I mean he is definitely better than taking a chance on a third round pick after we win the flag next year.

Can play, can gut run and can hit a kick inside 50 he  immediately fills a required starting 18 position on the wing. The low pick, lower coin is the balance of the risk we are taking on his prior alleged off field challenges.

The two doggies lads that we've picked up are almost no names to me (says alot given I've watched alot of their games against us and generally). However I'm guessing our FD rate them and given we've studied the bejezus out of the dogs over the last few years it gives me confidence that they can play roles for us. Only had to part with a can of Coke and half a packet of twisties too 👌

Yeah - squeaky clean at the MFC

Jackson

Weideman

Hunt

Bedford

With Tomlinson a mebbe

Things are peachy

Weid/Hunt/Bedford not good enough to make the team & not AFL standard players, so vastly different. The only player leaving is a young kid heading home unlike the Dogs who have multiple best 22 players wanting out.

Beveridge had some problems with him. Hoping it was just a personality clash.

Always thought he was an upgrade on Mitch Hannan style of player.

Very composed player and from what I've seen a good decision maker.

Rendition of FREED FROM DESIRE from Lachie on his socials would be the ultimate troll

Free from bevos ire, sung to the tune of free from desire would be better trolling

Hunt is AFL standard. He played 40 games over past 2 seasons in a side that finished 1st and 2nd after the H&A.

He’s from WA, they usually get the news a bit later…………….in this case 10 years (drafted F/S in 2012 draft)

Welcome to DL Lachie, very excited about what he can bring in this new chapter of his career. Gives us a new dimension

Top 10 in the B &F 5 years running. 170 games of experience.

The window is open, and we are filling needs for 2023-25.

Love it.

I mean he’s won a B&F and a premiership and played 150 games it’s not like he spends his time as the unused medical sub every week!

Hunter has been a star of the competition. Best and fairest winner in front of Bont and McCrae.

Regular 35 + possession winner. Racked up competition high uncontested possessions in 2016 but also notched up 10 tackles a game on occasion. Premiership player.

Future third rounder! Good business.

Always fun going back to the first couple of pages in threads like these just to see your initial reaction. I wasn’t a fan but I am now. Welcome Lachie and all the best with us.
Can’t wait for the WERRIDEE 2023 team edition.

Paul Connors was on  Trade Radio, said Hunter knew he'd made some mistakes but was keen to progress his footy

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

  • PREGAME: Sydney

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
