Trade and Free Agency rumours

Cornes isn't backing down on the Kozzie rumour (which he made up). He now believes Kozzie will move to an S.A team in 2023 saying what Lamb said yesterday was 'a lie'.

Effectively free? That's not really how the TPP cap works, Marc.

The said tweet was clearly in regards to the deal of draft picks.

You have taken the word “free” totally out of context.

Kindly name one player who has played for “free” since 1990.

You have mixed up posts. Alpha 33 said he had a headache, not Demon Disciple.

This misquoting is giving me a headache.

Nah we have two headaches on this page, possibly more.

This was in reference to the mega trade idea.

Carlton get compo pick 49, for a 31 year old, who retired, rather than accept an AFL Covid Vaccination ruling, while we get 53, for a 27 year old, who played 40 games in the last two years and has signed a 3 year deal with another club.

Surely the compo can't be in the same round for those two situations.

This stinks to high heaven.

So it seems some commentators and journalists do the bidding of some clubs. I can't find any other reason to insists on this baseless rumour.

Jones surely a lot more money, which is a worry for the dogs. But you’re right, 31 year should get nothing. Retired player nothing too.

And the picks should be giving at ends and middles of round then only ordered in ladder order from there if multiple picks are in the same band.

Cal stating we are "anticipated" to use only 2 picks on the national draft and will offer 27 to the pies for Grundy.

Perhaps a reflection that this is a weaker draft - also that we went for it somewhat last year and have enough younger players coming through.

If we are only using 2 picks I would think they will be very high picks. I expect us to be aggressive in trying to get our trading done early to give us the best possible chance of moving up the board.
I wonder if the JHF to Port has made it more urgent to get our deals done. I assume North will want at least one pick at the very pointing end of this years draft to be part of the deal. Given how difficult top 7 picks are to trade for JHF trade could make the market a lot more competitive.

I thought the same

Hunt went for effectively “absolutely nothing in return” !!!

Do we have any updated national draft predictiors? Or is that only done after the combines are completed.

Im interested to find out the expected trade order and when the two (quality rated) KPF are expected to go based on the list needs of clubs. I think everyone of the top 8 picks can make a play for getting their hands on a KPF, but it just depends on whether they have bigger priorities.

2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. He carried injury right through the back half of the season and was controversially involved in a potential move during the trade period that was ultimately shut down by the club. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury.
