Go dees. My wish list:
- Fritsch to score minimum of 3 snags
- defensive pressure well up in the midfield especially.
- Lever to get some touch back.
- Keep them to under 55.
- Oliver to have a blinder and overtake Cripps in the Coaches award, back to back!
- Sparrow to hit some finals Sparrow form.
-Win by 60+.

Keys, phone, beanie, wallet, sunglasses, deckchair. Just making sure I've got everything for today's game.

[censored] it all. I forgot we have to vote today. Looks like I’ll be issued (yet another) $75 fine. Well, if we lose today I’ll be able to pay it five times over. 😁

GO NARRM!!!

Unfortunately being forced to watch the game today on Kayo from Cairns where the forecast high for the day is 29 degrees...............Well at least I didn't go to the snow.

Another bloody away game.

Anyone heading west for the game today??

We'll play 1 good quarter, strangle them defensively for the rest of the game and conserve our energy for Freo next week

Dees by 40 points

Cutting up my membership if we don't win by 10+ goals.

We’ve already got Werridee selling his house !!
No need to do anything crazy !!

I wish this was an earlier game. Unfortunately I'm going to have to miss today.

But like last week when I said this would be a game we'd drop a few years ago, I'm confident of s great win because it would be embarrassing to lose.

Just no more injuries please.

Already voted.  have a wedding tonight so cant make the game.  Best team in the league getting the worst time slots, WTF?

Anyway, hope the boys switch on, knowing there are many hungry players at Casey if they dont.  Today is an opportunity to work on inside 50, forward leading patterns and front half defence.

Hold them to under 24 points and put on a cricket score would be my goal, with continued forward connection development.

Time to fine-tune our forward half connection for the tougher fixtures ahead.   Narrm comfortably by 8 to 10 goals will do.

This weekend we should be playing in Alice Springs, of all rounds, this should be played here

Makes sense

Giving it a fixed weekend, a fixed timeslot and guaranteed FTA it could become a TV ratings bonanza.

Channel 7 did an excellent job in 2018 (?) for example.

It could also serve as a week during which Alice celebrates indigenous culture.

Throw in a VFL match as well as a free event for those in town

It's the worst team in the leagues' home game...

No mercy, let’s continue embracing indigenous culture and todays lesson can be on payback…

Bizarre comment hey. Care to explain at all?

Just win with no injuries please.

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
