Can the Dogs throwing of the ball be any more blatant ?

Multiple un penalised throws by the Dogs in the last quarter here, Naughton running miles over the mark , no 50 paid, free kick to Allir in the Dogs forward line, the Dogs player gives the umpire a mouthful, no 50 paid.

Many were there to be fair but the pro Dogs free kick count in the last was, frankly , obscene

It’s a disgrace. The Dogs are blatant cheaters and the umpires rarely penalize them. Can’t stand them. ****test club in the league the soft whingers. Was thrilled we belted them in the grand final last year. Rewatch that demolition regularly!

Freo and brisbane got the draw jackpot , their percentage boost . Freo 138 to 151 at 3/4 time . Brisbane should smash eagles too

Is it a Perth thing to do the mexican wave at the footy? I know we do it at the cricket but never at the footy. I remember going to Perth and seeing Queen in concert a few years ago and the crowd started doing the wave before they came out, I thought what the hell.

Gee poor by nth only 2 goals in 3 quarters. This is going to get very very ugly. But does anyone really care enough about nth to criticise them?

Oh Freo are now on top. They can look after it until sunday

Sure he has a poor list to work with, but Noble surely has to be on borrowed time at Nth.

They are Neeld era bad. Good players gone backwards, skills have vanished and if there is a system I can't see it.

North are in a lot of trouble and I don't think it's all cattle.

I actually saw a Footscray player asleep on the ground and the umpire walked up to him and said its your free mate.

It was 13-6 to Port at one point in the 2nd quarter.

Are Freo a young flash in the pan side that will run out of gas by round 19, or are they going the distance this year?

Impossible to tell from that game. North were as bad as it gets. Freo actually turned the ball over a lot in positions where North should’ve scored but North were just so bad it’s impossible to tell. Freo are on track to play finals. We’ll see whether they’re top four material in the next month when they play GC, Pies, Us and Brisbane. All I got out of this game was that I hope North play that badly against us in round 10. The percentage would be great!

I guess it’s all relative.

Freo had 6 COVID outs and had their 2 key forwards out and yet still won by 13 goals when the margin really should’ve been about 7 goals.

Perhaps North are really that bad as you pointed out.

Freo passed their first passive test of the year against Geelong. If they go 1-1 against Brisbane and MFC, then I’m prepared to label them the real deal.

So many examples of umpire dissent, not paid once

Agree, but stay tuned and watch someone raise an eyebrow in another game and get a 50. The inconsistencies of this rule beggars belief. Scott should resign

No Bontempelli, no Bulldogs.

Great player but it was the truly horrendous standard of the Bulldogs back 6 that has them in trouble.

Port took 21 inside F50 marks in a relatively normal game. That's insane. It was almost comical how easily Port were marking the ball with minimal/no pressure.

For comparison, Freo took 14 in a complete drubbing.

We play North and WCE in next two rounds.  We must get big % boosts; none off this shutting down in the last quarter that we have of late.  Time to put the pedal to the floor.  As @Sir Why You Littlewould say:  "Show no mercy"

Otherwise, we don't really get another big % boost chance as the rest of our games are against current top 8 sides or a few pushing for top 8, the latter being Bulldogs, Power and Crows.

If other contenders continue to beat up on the likes of Eagles, North, Ess, Suns the % diff can and most likely will cost us top 2 or heaven forbid top 4 as they have, 'on paper' easier draws than us.

Heavy Cairns game and tight last quarter up there appears not to have slowed Port.
Saints also  have extra day.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
