Not counting on TV, of course, but I haven't watched Melbourne lose since August 2019.  Crazy AF.

(I missed the GWS game last year but I generally go to 80% of the games played in Melbourne whenever there isn't a Pandemic)

Same. Just a cold, crappy day and the boys just looked flat throughout.

As strange as it sounds I miss getting emotional at footy games... it's kinda boring just winning. Comfortably.

Dont get me wrong - I hate losing more than anything else. I miss the CONTEST at present.

Yes the Hawks took it up to us - but we weren't close to full strength and it never felt in danger despite them closing late.

Can't wait for the saints, Sydney, Brisbane and freo games to hopefully witness a contest

Same. We left that game and I remember saying “well at least if the grand final isn’t in Melbourne due to Covid we won’t miss out on seeing our team win”.

I think I may hold the record here.

It was round 9 in 1998 and we lost to Essendon at the MCG after a stirring win the previous week at the same venue against Collingwood.  Lyon, Viney and Stynes were among those still playing for the Demons.

Haven't been to a game since for reasons many and varied.  Come at me.

The last game I saw Melbourne lose in person was Perth 2018.

I gave 2019 up for dead almost immediately, then COVID happened, and after that we came good.

Yep, a bad day all round. We were in a bit of a form slump at that stage.

Agree and it's not just the players it's the supporters. Last week the Tigers supporters were so subdued, cheering the goals, whinging at the umps of course but not much more - seems they know they're pushing it uphill to beat us so come in with a defeated mindset. Pretty boring.

Last game was the horrible GWS match in 2021 at the MCG where we should of selected Ben Brown to play but we didn't.

I have seen Melbourne lose far too much over the years. It is never a fun feeling on the long train ride home.

As strange as it is...we need to get used to winning now!

After 57 years of pain (as Max Gawn said) we deserve a bit of joy and happiness.

Long may this new successful era of the Melbourne Football Club continue!

Not since Collingwood on Queens birthday 2021.  Although I watch pretty much every game, for some weird reasons, I didn't watch the games against GWS and the Dogs in the second half of 2021.

It's kind of unbelievable that I haven't watched us actually loose in nearly a year!! 😯😯.

I mentally actually thought we'd lost against Geelong at 3/4 time of the last home and away last year, but so guess that just wasn't to be 😥😥🤣🤣🤣.

Not like I'm going to complain about that though.

When your captain kicks a captain's goal after the siren to win the minor premiership you are having a good year

I would like to say in 2006 at Carrara vs the Adelaide Crows, when we were ripped off when an Aaron Davey gem of a goal was called a point by mistake.

But unfortunately I have been to the Gabba a few times since.

2 from 2 at the MCG though!!!

I was one of the unfortunate’s to see the Adelaide Crows beat us by one point at the Adelaide Oval last year. They thought they had won the premiership beating us. At least I had the last laugh.

Haven’t had the opportunity to watch a game in person, I will get to Melbourne eventually, but the last loss I watched on TV was Collingwood last year. Was working during the GWS and Bulldogs games and never bothered to watch the replays.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
