One of my close friends is a Hawks fan and he's still haunted by Milkshakes goal from 2018 finals campaign

Maybe a repeat?

Majak to make his debut if Jacko is out?

Now that would be interesting and very likely to succeed

Probably won’t happen though I was just throwing it out there more likely to be Weid or Tmac in to give Max a ruck chop out

I think we'll be ok. LJ hurts because he gives great backup for max & sometimes is the best choice.

We coped without Brown the other week & last week won without viney & lever

And I only had to elbow about 10 kids’ heads outta my way on the path to Maxy’s hand. 🙃

Sounds fair.

But this hand slapping with crowd afterwards has to stop.

I've accepted he'll get a game.

It's quiet obvious the coaches are desperately wanting to get him into the side for some unknown reason.

Idk about last week, but post-match vs. GWS Maxy walked around the boundary touching as many hands as poss. And I know coz my hand was one of ‘em. 😁

Did sparks fly when your hands touched, Civil?

I have to say it’s not ideal having 3 going out this week but how good is it being a Dees supporter when you are still confident with getting the 4 pts and having 2 stars step straight back in.

He is on 197 games.

Again I find this intriguing and fascinated to see how we cope, I expect we will have more than 3 players and 1 coach go down, then it gets strange.

We would have had many players test positive earlier in the year and therefore they are at a much lower risk to contract it again.  Having a few go down doesn’t mean we will more

Imagine our defence with Rodman in the team.

The stat line would read:

Kicks = 0

Handballs = 0

Marks = 0

Spoils = 22

Umpire dissent = 4 x 50’s

For him, maybe. For me it was a little meh, whatevs.

Haven’t washed my hand since, not planning to anytime soon.

Anyways, I’m more of a Steven May-restraining-order kinda gal.

Unlikely to be that high given a majority of the team have already had it earlier in the year. I know it doesn’t stop you from getting again but the risk is considerably less. It’s not the same as what has happened to WC.

I’m also haunted by Melksham.

Only way Majak would play is if Max goes down

Opportunity for Daw (Jackson)  I suspect.  Reprieve for Dunstan (Sparrow). .   Bedford likely to fill in for Kosi.  Lever and Viney to return.

Not going to happen, Gus's current role is way to important to the team structure.

Tmac in to allow Weid to do the Jackson role. Weid has been training with the rucks and has been doing that role with Majak when playing for Casey. Otherwise I think you are spot on.

Interesting that the two WA boys got it, as well as the SA lad. I’m gonna guess that they may be amongst the few who didn’t cop it here over summer, after spending time back home on their break. Hopefully, the rest of the boys have had it and have stronger immunity.

I notice the Anzac Day jumpers are up for auction . There will be three I wont be bidding for :)

Kozzie shares a house with Spargo and Bedford. I did wonder at that situation but they may have already had it as you said. A good thing that the close contact rules have changed. As an aside, Tuesday last week I stopped at the Cheeky for a coffee, a black Ford Ranger parked in front of me and Koz and Toby got out. Didn't get a chance to talk to them as they looked to be in conversation with one of their sponsors. I don't know the gentleman but I did hear part of the conversation and I do know both players have a common sponsor.

    After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

    A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.
