Clayton Oliver Contested beast - surely gets the medal this evening

Let's take the 4 points and move on.

Didn't think I'd be saying this based on last year but we'll need to be a little sharper, or at least shoot a little straighter against the Hawks and Saints.

Now, I never want to talk about this game ever again.

Petty awesome.

And Bowey’s run continues.  What a talisman

Thats about as ugly a win you wish you'll never have to watch again.

That's what good teams do. Win when they aren't at their best. It's 1 step closer to locking away finals, then we aim for top 4, then top 2.

I’m all for banking wins. But that was yuck to watch.

Clayton Monster BOG by the length of the Flemington straight.

Very happy for Weid again. The carnivore was breathing down his neck after the Casey game today, but Sammy took his opportunities and can’t be dropped now .

As usual, we got the job done. Our innaccuracy front of goal was certainly frustrating to watch but at least we didn't let Richmond take advantage of it. Tonight showed that teams find it difficult to play against us. We're impossible to score against.

Oliver was unbelievable. He was the difference between the two sides. Fritsch is such an important part of our forwardline. Even when he's not getting many possessions, he changes the momentum of the game by kicking crucial goals.

That's easy to say but how many flags has Bowey won compared to the other two.

9 goals aint gonna win you too many football games! Need to lift, kicking practice blah blah blah

$%#% it! Got the job done, we own the Tigs now! Go Dees! Go Anzacs!

Most Scoring Shots (31) vs Least Scoring Shots (14) of the year... so far.

Never in doubt. Not only is he the best on-baller in MFC history, he’s the best I’ve ever seen in the AFL/VFL. Phenomenal.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
