Deservedly after a heart stopper….must have been hell going through this tonight.BOL- now go and show them ALL.

I've posted about Kynan before. He's tough, quick, can find the footy and won't die wondering. Easily worthy of a rookie spot. Glad it's official now and we can see another father son in red and blue. Best of luck little Doggy!

Great to see Kynan get on the list. I was watching those last few picks with fingers X'd.

His kicking seemed to improve over the year, particularly his short 20-30m kicks.

Really like his hands in close, weights them well out in front of the running player and makes quick decisions in tight.

He's got a few tools to work with.

He'd have a lot more if he'd been drafted by Collingwood.

About 7 points worth and a thug as well!!!

I had a mate in my running club we called

Little Dog, or just doggies

Glad we have him

So glad that Kynan has gotten through to us I was worried that someone would spoil our party, welcome aboard Kynan. !!

I think this is the best result. Welcome Kynan! Not going to die wonder and I'm sure he's going to give everything he has with this chance.

Have we still got 1 selection in the pre season draft?

Still developing into his body young Kynan, excellent hands out of traffic, can work on his kicking, tank looks good and can win and find his own ball which is always a good indicator.

Might have another Judd Mcvee type development project on our hands.

One year to develop down at Casey and another solid pre season in 24 and the world is his oyster.

If Kynan has the appetite like his old man, he'll be another great rookie success story for the club.

Ablett and Sheehan talked Brown up very nicely in the Fox draft telecast last night mentioning that he had a very good carnival and would be a good pick up for the Dees or any club that got in before us. (Mind you they basically talk up every person that nominates for the draft)

People forget that some of the recent players Harmes, Jolly, Jamar, McVee and Turner were rookies, that turned out ok.

Looks like the AFL preseason and rookie draft is today. AFL website has us with 3 picks in the rookie draft, but wouldn't be surprised if we just pick up Brown and Melk

about the only player they don't think will be a future star was the 37 year old brickie whose mates nominated him for a giggle

  • Demonland changed the title to Welcome to Demonland Kynan Brown

According to the AFL web site Kynan is a B Rookie so we have an extra Rookie position?

Does this mean we did not offer a contract to Andy Moniz-Wakefield?  If so, we now have 2 rookie spots left for SPP or MSD?

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
