Me today with a brutal hangover.
It’s my dads birthday on Friday. So special to watch it with him yesterday. Got him a premiership tshirt because the man loves a commemorative tee.
Got some stuff for the bar including that amazing cheese board, because cheese board!

I really don't know what is going on with the website for the shop - they have tied the items to whether they have them in stock or on order - I can tell because they have no DVDs/BluRays available atm.

Just set it all up universally available and have some text for the hard to order items that it could be 2 months before you get it.

THEY SHOULD BE FLEECING US!

I spent another $110 just then.

I forgot the hoodie... I think.

Dammit.

They are fleecing us. The Herald Sun is selling half of the same stuff for less, but as if I’m giving Murdoch my money and not my PREMIERSHIP WINNING DEES the cash for all this trash.

I hope they release a finals DVD set with the 3 finals wins, and some behind the scenes stuff. Will buy.

It'll be iodine pills next year.

Must say, there would have been a little bit of concern about club revenue problems from having the Grand Final in another country but if you crazy people are anything to go by the club will be in a position to buy Google during the off-season.

also want the finals DVD if there is one… but then i would like round 23 included also!

With summer coming up, I’d really appreciate some sleeveless tops.

It’s called the “Victory Pack”. Already advertised on AFL website and Sanity. Season highlights, all finals, and Grand final with alternate commentary tracks. Not available for some weeks though. A solid day’s viewing.

I've ordered 3 x t-shirts from the Deebrief website (Clarry, Wingers Club & The Enforcer) as well as the Weg poster. I'd really like one of the New Era bucket hats some of the players train in too but they are sold out everywhere.

The club should release a special premiership video with unseen footage. 57 years worth!

I still can't believe this is all real.

Only got shirt, stubby holder x2, fridge magnet and pennant so far.

Uncertain which poster to go for.

I’ve bought the WEG poster. Miles better than the modern one I reckon but that’s just my opinion. It reminds me of our glory years, not that I was even a speck in my Dad’s eye at the time.

Just bought 22 posters and Fridge Magnets from Wegart.com $360

Now to hit the Demon Shop

I imagine a lot has sold out, but i am sure the products will be refurbished over the next 2-3 weeks

”And now a word from our Sponsors…

CONSUME…”

Mr. Hell (Great Cartoon)

Where oh where are the Adult jumpers? (someone tell the store they will sell more of these than anything)

Also love the bucket hats (gardening/beach) can they come back.

IS there an auction yet?

Nothing grabs me at The Demon Shop so far  i am sure the range will grow over the next few weeks

Caps that are Grey and White…. WHY???

I did have a laugh at The Cheeseboard

I suspect that most of the stuff is generic and they just add the logo etc.

There are lots of these "souvenir/corporate branding"mobs around. I worked for a company that was big in giving away branded stuff and we all took joy in collecting the most esoteric/useless stuff.

Bulldogs made about a quarter from its 2016 win as compared to Tigers the following year. With covid it will be interesting to see how we do.

On a related note I hope Demonland issues a few of its own memorabilia. We owe it to this site.

i would like a Premiership Cup Replica and an uninterrupted Call of the game (TV and Radio)

All this framed stuff is too big and too much of it!!

Hopefully the Demonshop restocks soon or at least takes orders on sold-out items.
I'm not really into the memorabilia, but will happily drop $$$$ if it goes to the club.

Agree grey cap and black cap makes no sense. I will of course buy the cheeseboard, do they have a cheese knife in silver?

Yep, just went the budgy smugglers as well. I do ocean swims in the summer so will be perfect. Ordered some WEG posters on Saturday night too.

Reckon there will be a lot of stuff coming out in the next few weeks. Premiers jersey top of the list and accessory items like stubby holders, bottle openers, etc.

Spot on re hats , see polos 2 , cant manufacture 5000 polos in blue and red  and cant sell it

Word of advice,

get what you can when you can

Most will be made in china , shipping from there is stuffed  weeks late and very expensive , air freight is also expensive and less flights.

I wouldnt trust a date you get told unless the product is in Australia

Interesting fact for those of you interested in the Weg Posters. Weg passed away in 2008, so the artwork in this years poster is actually unused art made for the losing 1958 grand final against Collingwood.

The 1955 flag is my favourite of his Demon artworks. He looks like every half drunk middle aged bloke in a footy jumper celebrating a win. Brilliant.

Really hope they restock the Adults Guernsey and premiers scarf as soon as possible.

I imagine buying from the New balance or AFL store, the funds wouldn't get back to the club?

I was emailing the club about something else and asked whether the adult guernseys would be back up. Will let you know if I hear back.

My understanding is buying from the club is the best way to ensure the money goes to the club

Edit: got a quick response.

"We are getting different sorts of stock back, but we are currently unaware of what stock will be available.
We are still waiting for our suppliers to let us know.
In the meantime, we recommend you just checking the website as often as you can so you can keep up to date with the current stock levels"

  • CASEY: Sydney

The Casey Demons were always expected to emerge victorious in their matchup against the lowly-ranked Sydney Swans at picturesque Tramway Oval, situated in the shadows of the SCG in Moore Park. They dominated the proceedings in the opening two and a half quarters of the game but had little to show for it. This was primarily due to their own sloppy errors in a low-standard game that produced a number of crowded mauls reminiscent of the rugby game popular in old Sydney Town. However, when the Swans tired, as teams often do when they turn games into ugly defensive contests, Casey lifted the standard of its own play and … it was off to the races. Not to nearby Randwick but to a different race with an objective of piling on goal after goal on the way to a mammoth victory. At the 25-minute mark of the third quarter, the Demons held a slender 14-point lead over the Swans, who are ahead on the ladder of only the previous week's opposition, the ailing Bullants. Forty minutes later, they had more than fully compensated for the sloppiness of their earlier play with a decisive 94-point victory, that culminated in a rousing finish which yielded thirteen unanswered goals. Kicks hit their targets, the ball found itself going through the middle and every player made a contribution.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

Hands up if you thought, like me, at half-time in yesterday’s game at TIO Traeger Park, Alice Springs that Melbourne’s disposal around the ground and, in particular, its kicking inaccuracy in front of the goals couldn’t get any worse. Well, it did. And what’s even more damning for the Melbourne Football Club is that the game against St Kilda and its resurgence from the bottomless pit of its miserable start to the season wasn’t just lost through poor conversion for goal but rather in the 15 minutes when the entire team went into a slumber and was mugged by the out-of-form Saints. Their six goals two behinds (one goal less than the Demons managed for the whole game) weaved a path of destruction from which they were unable to recover. Ross Lyon’s astute use of pressure to contain the situation once they had asserted their grip on the game, and Melbourne’s self-destructive wastefulness, assured that outcome. The old adage about the insanity of repeatedly doing something and expecting a different result, was out there. Two years ago, the score line in Melbourne’s loss to the Giants at this same ground was 5 goals 15 behinds - a ratio of one goal per four scoring shots - was perfectly replicated with yesterday’s 7 goals 21 behinds.
This has been going on for a while and opens up a number of questions. I’ll put forward a few that come to mind from this performance. The obvious first question is whether the club can find a suitable coach to instruct players on proper kicking techniques or is this a skill that can no longer be developed at this stage of the development of our playing group? Another concern is the team's ability to counter an opponent's dominance during a run on as exemplified by the Saints in the first quarter. Did the Demons underestimate their opponents, considering St Kilda's goals during this period were scored by relatively unknown forwards? Furthermore, given the modest attendance of 6,721 at TIO Traeger Park and the team's poor past performances at this venue, is it prudent to prioritize financial gain over potentially sacrificing valuable premiership points by relinquishing home ground advantage, notwithstanding the cultural significance of the team's connection to the Red Centre?
