No change.

If I was coach though.

B. Brown for Melksham

Been some carnage around other clubs with injuries. I’m all for some rotations, maybe 2/3 changes . Had Jackson not has his best game of the year he would have been the one I would have listed first.

Jones, Melksham and Spargo are our clear bottom 3 at present. I think a case can be made for any of those three to go - but only one of them. I’d pick Brown ahead of Weid.

I’d be really tempted to go no change though. The present mix is working. The risk of breaking it has to be a consideration.

Blundstone Arena is a hole for football.

BBB in for Milkshake.

Out: Melksham

In: Brown

We didn’t get a 60 goal a season forward to win games for Casey. It’s time.

A few sore boys.. I recon Spargo will miss with his shoulder. Kossy might need a rest. He had an ankle issue at one stage but played on.

Brown has to come in I think. Would probably rest Jones.

I'd be surprised with any forced changes after that effort.

I want Weid and BBB in more than anyone but I just cant them getting game time with T-Mc and Jacko playing the way they are.  It's crazy that they're fit and firing and playing twos.

We won't be dropping Melksham or Spargo.  They're never going to win a lot of possessions and there pressure looked ok.

I actually think T Mac may get suspended for a week for his high hit which gave away a free kick. Hopefully just a fine.

I reckon the coaches will be absolutely loving what Spargo brings to the forward line.

I've never seen a Dees team put on the forward pressure that this one does and Spargs is a huge part of that.

I’d have Brown for sure, and a few other changes to refresh them - and also, that will stop anyone thinking that it is an easy game, after tonight, which would be such a Melbourne thing to think.

Don’t change what ain’t broke, but there may be some soreness or management needed on some of the young fellas or older one(s).

BBB for probably Melksham unless there are injuries

Spargo is playing selfless footy. He puts his body on the line in every contest. People have to stop looking at his stat's. Spargs role is not about winning the ball but making sure the ball doesn't leave the contest in the opposition possession.

Not a bad situation in having Weids, Ben Brown, Chandler,  Harmes, Daw and Jetta waiting for their chance.

16 more matches until finals if we make it. There’s still a heap of time to get a big key forward in and try a couple of fresh faces through the midfield and backline.

Bowey, Sparrow, Weid, Brown all hungry and all have traits that can make us better but we don’t need to force it.

I think Melksham should go but agree that we probably won't.

I'd be surprised if we don't have a sore player or two after today. No point carrying injuries into any game this year.

If no injuries and a clean bill of health, the only change to consider IMO is bringing in one of Brown or Weid for one of Melksham or Jones.

OUT Melk

IN Either Brown or Weid.

I don't understand people wanting to bring in a key forward for a small or medium player.

We currently have a pretty good balance, so I certainly wouldn't be bringing a tall in without taking one out.

I've loved what Bedford is doing in the VFL and would love to see him replace Melksham but Melky seems to be bullet proof so it's an unlikely scenario.

On a radio interview after the game, Max said that Harmes would be available next week.

Harmes might have to come back through the VFL.

We have to find a way to get BBB into the side. The North Hobart oval has some weird winds happening, and North Melbourne play it well. It would seem that next week is a particularly good time to give BBB a game and see how he can fit in.

I can't nominate anyone to be dropped though!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The Demons return to Casey Fields (aka the Field of Dreams) this Saturday to host the Saints in Round 2. If you’re feeling lucky, head down the Monash for some family-friendly footy—you might even walk away a winner. The first 5,000 adults through the gate will receive an entry into the $10,000 helicopter ball drop. With Casey’s infamous wind, what could possibly go wrong? Closest ball to the pin wins. So spread the word, get down there—and good luck!

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love. Many issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.
