[censored] me lads and ladies... a lot of apathy/unfounded angst towards a bloke that hasn't played a game yet.

...and you call yourselves supporters ?

I think he has composure and can offer outside mid skills., it is something we need.

Blood them early, get him understanding what it takes at the highest level.

Good early call.

Haven't really seen him play what's consensus on his positives, improvement areas and position?

Positives: 2 way runner,  spreads well from the stoppage, tackles hard.

Improvement: Penetrating with disposal, decision making.

Position: Midfield.

Looked good against Richmond, struggled against the Dogs. I'd suggest he often starts at half forward and swaps with Petracca a fair bit or even Clarry to go do the midfield running whilst they rest deep forward.

If we move the ball it brings his tank in to play more and whilst his disposal has been hit and miss I'd suggest there's a chance of some good kicking in there.

Freo are super hard working and disciplined so his tank should suit, particularly at the G.

He hasn’t played a game yet, give the kid sometime to feel comfortable at the level.

Seriously. F&ck I hope he proves you wrong. I assume your opinion is based on a detailed view of the growth in his game over the last 3 years and not based on him playing second mid against the dogs first string midfield last week.

Allegedly works his butt off. Allegedly team first. Allegedly plays his role. For every Martin and Cotchin you need your Broads, Caddy’s and McIntosh. Does not need to get a heap of ball just work hard and do the job set for him.

Best of luck Jimmy J. Do what got you a game, work hard and play your role and hopefully its the start of a long career.

Best wishes for a long and successful career in the red & blue JJ.  If you are half as good as a previous #23 (Junior Mac), you will serve our Club well.

ps.  from the very limited bits I've seen of JJ, I can see a few similarities with Junior.

Think of him as a James McDonald type more then anything. Coaches love him, will do a discipline job when asked, and will go out and give 110%. Has worked incredibly hard to get to AFL level due to a few rejections at TAC cup level.

Knowing his parents well in Daryl and Prue Jordon, they will be extremely proud this Saturday.

On ya Jimmy.

Good luck James!! Struggled against the best kid in the comp last week but will be better for the run. Has size, has run, looks tough.

take the opportunity. Play your role and Max and Jack will be happy

The article is incorrect in one aspect. He was born on 20 December, 2000 according to the club’s pen pictures which makes him 20 years old - not 22.

Is this numerologically propitious WJ? JJ’s debut is also slated for the 20th!
