No composure in the 50.

STILL no genuine key tall forwards that are reliable kicks at goal.

It's time to bring Brown in for 3 matches or so for Weid.ย  If that fails then its time to ask Tomlinson to earn his keep in place of May and send May forward for the final experiment before cleaning out our Key Tall stocks atย end of season.

Brisbane are more desperate, so much hungrier to win the ball

Nonsense. Look at viney! Weโ€™ve just missed a few goal set shots.

Yep missed at least 6 gettable goals, and two definitely should have been goals, kicking ourselves out of it!!

They are just a touch more polished and structured than us in a higher qualityย game. Just not taking our chances yet could still pinch it if we get some momentum.ย

Weโ€™ve kicked ourselvesย out of the game, every one of Weids kicks were very gettable. Bennell shouldโ€™ve nailed his. We kick half of those and itโ€™s a goal in it.ย

Our own worst enemies, hard to watch when that happens.

Gerrard Healy is one of the most insufferable people to listen to, I could list a dozen examples but itโ€™s just constant.ย

We did the same last year at the Gabba when we missed 4 or 5 set shots and let Hipwood off the leash for 15 minutes for 4 goals.ย

Jetta is brave, but he's cooked. His only weapon now is putting his head over it, which he is doing to his detriment.

Man how I wish Bennell had nailed that goal...

Lions are much cleaner and we have gone back to wasting the ball.

They're beating us in the clearances as well which is putting us onย the back footย

They are a lot better than us. Weย are being schooled with ball use and pressure. We canโ€™t get our hands on the ball in the middle. And we canโ€™t get any continuity with the ball.ย

Very sloppy skills. I know itโ€™s wet but Lions much cleaner. Terrible hospital handballs to no one and very little clean possession. WTF is Nev doing??

Viney tries all day and all night and has the biggest heart, but he just bangs it out anywhere when he gets it....diesnt even appear to look !

Missed some easy goals

Did the umpire just make up a new rule, dangerous tackle? Let's consult our dictionaries to check what dangerous means. It could mean a number of things. The umpire needs to be more precise, not make things up on the run.ย

And very poor from Healy saying Jetta ducked his head again. Would he say that about Selwood? I think not.ย

That's not hard

Our midfield is getting smashed and boy was Bennell's miss costly.

I'm still tryna' cool down from that Harley moment.

Absolutely killed us.

Me too, I felt myself deflate instantly. In this kind of game it is just a killer.

Big test this quarter. Cant get blown away or it sets us back massively

Sadly we are a mediocre side. We will get smashed next week too.ย

I want to party with you

Nearly threw the iPad on that non decision. FFS.

We need to recruit players who know how to kick. We are our own worst enemy.

Missed about 7 easy goals. Even with the sh-t umpiring We could have won.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
