ANb could have been a star

just not good enough

good night Dees see you next year

I really feel sorry for Gawn, he’s to talented to be in our team

Lever is such a horrible kick,

Salem would have to be one of the worst hand ballers in the comp.

Brayshaw barely got out of a trot in the second half.

frustrating to support this pathetic team.

Interesting to see the difference between looking to hit targets and blind bombs. So nice of the team to demonstrate both styles in the same game for comparison.

Absolutely no leadership. Lever spends a lot of time pointing before turning it over. Jones should be retired on the basis of that last kick. Salem has become lazy.

Fritter and Gawn outstanding.

I do think Lewis   looks great in Demon colours !!

Experts at finding a way to stuff it up

Win the hitouts and clearances by a mile - and lose.

Another coaching disaster from someone in the FD team.

Not to mention the 3.1 to 1.7 final quarter scoreline

Love Lewis's comment to roughy, "if you were out here you would have found me open" shows how little faith he had in his team mates. Must be hard to run to space knowing 3 guys out if 22 will hit you.

Leaving aside the fact that you screwed me out of a $400 pot in my tipping comp, way to screw yourselves out of a positive end to the year Dees.

See ya next year Melbourne!

Hunt's panic handball to Norf's favour & Jones' kick not long after.

So many flawed footballers it's almost impossible to beat anyone.

CLEAN HALF THIS LIST OUT and start over!

That was sad.

1 goal seven on the last.

In front and not clever enough to hang on.

No it was ten goal into the wind and only 2 goal with the wind.

Hore won't make it at this level. Turnover merchant. Jones giving the coaching department a warning of what's to come if he plays seniors next year.

Time to hang up the Boots Jones..

yep just turns it over. should have won but of course we did not            I am  furious  what else is new

Thank God it’s finally over. Skills, skills, skills, outside run and somehow get some game/situation awareness. Just a team of dumb footballers.

Glad we didn't win tbh. We would have spent the next few months licking the last few drops of bath water up from winning 1 meaningless game. Fully official rock bottom. so time to see how they respond. No more 'this will burn', no more 'looking for positives', time for them to show us as supporters and the wider footy community if they're competitors or just employees.

Is there any chance ANB can ever kick straight from 30 metres out??

It is like being kicked in the guts and sent off down [censored] creek in a barbwire canoe.

After the siren it looked like Melksham was discussing with Jones the virtue of kicking down the line... Plenty of head shaking

Yes but more than likely at another club...somewhere.

Fritta and Gawn were amazing today, but too many B graders.

Seen enough of Stretch Wagner Spargo ANB and JKH

Jones one more year ands that’s about it.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
