T mac still playing??? take him out of his and our misery for the love of god

and Petty in? he must do a lot at training coz he has looked poor at AFL level.  I'd play Keilty at the back before Petty

The rest of the year was supposed to be a trial and acclimatisation for all our youth and second-line players. The FD are still nuts.

Petty ahead of Oscar..

Quiet a statement there.

Not really - not only is he not even named in the VFL this week, Oscar hasn't played since he was dropped, having missed the last Casey match as well. 4-6 week case of mystery injury syndrome?

Fair enough, I don't know much about the intricacies of a collar bone plate repair. From what I've heard though, it's a 4-8 week recovery for civilians, so he did come back quite quick for someone playing a high impact sport.

On Lever, I'm not saying it's the cause, but the incident in which his knee was injured was when he was just not up to the speed of the game. Watching the replay it was even commented on at the time that he was not ready for the speed of AFL. My point is just that the contest he was injured in may not have happened if he had had more match time leading up to his return.

And in the end, I'm not trying to make it sound like that's how it is, just saying you could potentially argue those things.

Hogan last year, back within a couple of weeks.

Also why would Omac come in for an intercept player like Lever? May yes, but not Lever. Petty for Lever makes more sense.

As statements go it's a pretty limp one.

Not sure Petty is needed.

May can take Hogan.

Frost can take Cox.

Hore can also help out in the key defenders department.

The rest of their forward line are full of dangerous smalls such as Walters and Matera.

Hoping the Petty selection isn’t a waste of time.

hows he tracking? Anyone got some dead horse

I hear he had a promising pre-season and is looking ripe for debut in the JLT series in 2020

it will come and

why wouldn't we bring in a player lacking mobility against a  side who loves to create run and carry opportunities from their back half

Yes quite.  Oscar has not convinced too many that he has the goods to be a consistent KPD.

His strengths include a good defensive punch and being a very tidy kick.  However his game day handballing skills, body strength and ground speed will keep him at Casey.

You could potentially argue anything. But you continually to "potentially argue" that players came back too early.

Not sure why you're so mad mate? I'm not stating things as fact just putting forward a discussion point about the injuries.

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
