We should have put them away in the third.

[censored] maggots ruined yet another game with woeful decisions.

Cannot stand we play these floppers every [censored] time in Perth.

Unbelievably disappointing end to our best effort of the season

So much effort for so little return on the score board. We are soooo dumb with our delivery into the forward line  and decision making in general. Our skill level is honestly embarrassing.

Finals are officially gone.

Don't blame the umpires. We shot ourselves in the foot because we struggle to kick set shot goals from 20m directly in front (Looking at you trac)

Fritsch is a putrid footballer down back! Butchers the footy which just resulted in goals.

That was Nathan Jones worst game ever! [censored] putrid!!

Controlled the game and kicked like mules to hand wc the win.

Real missed opportunity.

Best game we have played this season except for kicking for goal

Btw the umps can go and get f.

Get a kicking coach into the club and we’ll win the premiership.

Set shots: 2 goals 6 behinds from 11 shots.

Pathetic kicking.

Put your house on us winning next week.

Still not sure how Ryan had such a free run at that mark.

Nah. The Cripps non-throw hurt, but it was no worse than usual. Can’t control the umpiring, but you can control missing set shots and easy goals. Let’s concentrate on that rather than the umpires.

Considering the outs and all the traveling the umpires the crowd, we did really really well. We took chances and played 110 times better than last week. Build on this.

All turned with that illegal Tim Smith tackle...

McGovern got let loose, and our forward entries were repelled.

Disappointing.

Tom Mac needs a spell in the twos, he's in woeful form.

Is there a dumber footballer than Petracca? Will never get dropped because of "potential". Will never understand that he is cr@p.

Just waiting for that pathetic excuse for a MRO, Christian, to spin Rioli out of the slam tackle that (1) should have been a free to Smith, instead o free to WCE, AND (2) concussed a defenseless player with arms pinned.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
