If Freeman has overcome his hamstring problems, he would be a good buy. Otherwise I would go for Adam Tipungwati , just a gut feeling.

Freeman might be worth looking at. He is injury prone but if we give nothing then he'd be worth a gamble. We need pace and game breakers.

11 odd hammies later.. unfortunately he's lost the pace he had. That's why the Saints got rid of him.

Creative maybe, but incorrect visual metaphor.

A ‘broken record’ is where there’s a defection on the groove of the vinyl, preventing the stylus to continue its path and getting stuck in a loop, hence repeating itself over and over.

This image implies a ‘smashed’ broken record, ie; a previous benchmark, milestone or achievement that has been superseded, which is not relevant to the poster’s assertion.

[censored] this season is boring. ?

I bet we pick up someone from Casey, they already know our panic-ball system so can fit right in.

No more one paced plodders please.

Off the mark speed and agility/ evasive skills needed, to assist in finding space, time to steady and deliver more accurately and/or finish running into goal.

We also need some overhead contested marking beasties.

We lost Hogan and add to this players out of form and no Pedo bear (not a regular i realise) vs last season.

Our top 5 were taking about 7.5 contested marks per match last season vs only 5 so far.  Might not seem like much but that's off 30%+.

Team is down 14 places to 16th taking 9.3 per match vs 2nd only to the Eagles last season averaging 13.1  Again about 30% off.

No Hogan and out of form Maxy (in the air vs last season), T-mac and Weids all impacting.  No Lever either of course.

We have also dropped 4 places in intercepts now sitting at 7th from 3rd last season.

Couldn’t get much worse then what we got now. Has his running improved or does he still run all stumpily?

We should add more players to our long term injury list like Guy Walker, Vandenberg and Steven May to make more space.

Bring in Freemen, Toumpas, BenKen and a tall forward or defender.

The club went cold on Freeman. They were fans of Taylor as he had spent some time with us during the AIS program. Roos was very big on the left footed Salem as he thought he he was versatile enough to play back, forward, or mid. I think he made early comparisons to Jarred McVeigh from Sydney as someone who could really set up across half back.

To add my 2 cents, I recall someone on here at the time of that draft got to have a chat to Shifter Sheehan who advised that both looked like great young kids. When asked who Melbourne should pick first Shifter said that Salem was clearly the better player and alluded that no club would have picked Freeman over Salem.

I think a few people are picking him based on his draft position in 2013. He has been in the system at 2 different clubs for that time but has spent the majority of the time with consistent hamstring injuries. For a player who was basically picked for his elite pace this has buyer beware written all over it.

Sounds like a Misson specialty. Shouldn’t be any issue getting the all clear from the fitness team to bring him in.

This guy could be the next Liam Jurrah minus the machete.

14 goals so far in the WAFL in 6 games.

Can mark, run and great height around 6'2

Can someone with influence at our club get our brain thurst to interview this guy next week when we play in Perth then draft him mid season.

I watch Perth V East Perth on Anzac day, looked lazy and just wanted to take mark of the year, didn't hunt defensively and we need forwards that will keep the ball inside our forward 50m arc

I recall these points being made about Liam Ryan though, and he instantly slotted into the West Coast team and adapted to their defensive requirements.

i would prefer if we took the best forward option. We have already proven we can get the ball into our forward line often enough to score heavily if we have someone down there who can mark or crumb it. Also another forward could allow Tom to go back into defense if required.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
