He was sounding like being close to selection when his finger came off 2nd best against a dumbbell.

I’m liking what I am seeing at the mighty G. Go Jordon.!!!!

Cant fault that debut...nice wow wow wee wow GIF

Great debut.
James McDonald presented him his jumper. So lovely to have him back at the club. A real Melbourne champion.

Great game, surprised me. Hopefully he can put some size on and keep up the good work

Very solid debut by JJ.  Commentators saying Jordan Lewis compared him to 2002 Brownlow Medallist Simon Black.

He actually reminded me of Joel Corey.  Here’s hoping he can build a great career at the Dees in the Number 23.

I really liked 2 parts of his game.

1. He pops in to dangerous areas of space especially in the corridor. I don’t know if it’s smarts, work rate or both but it’s good to see.

2. Whilst I hate the pre tackling that is allowed it seems Jordon’s very good at it, he’ll lock on to an opponent and make sure he gets them

His kicking is interesting, nice low trajectory but it worries me he seems to hit a bunch of them thin. Hopefully he keeps working on it and becomes reliable or even better than that.

I genuinely thought I was watching James McDonald playing for us again yesterday.

And it’s not because this dude was wearing number 23. Well, not entirely because of that.

He seems to be the type of hard working, no nonsense, selfless, working class but effective, midfielder we’ve been missing.

Pleasantly surprised with JJ’s debut. Great work young man.

A cracking debut. Very close to BOG in the first half.

He really is a two way player. Even when he was quiet, he'd bob up with a smother, tackle or shepherd.

Here's hoping he can build on that.

Our younger up and coming players seem to all have a good amount of composure to them. Probably something to do with not being thrown in the deep end and being allowed to develop. Anyway....it’s good to see, solid debut by JJ.

Here's hoping he becomes such a good player that is widely recognised to the extent that people realise his surname is spelled Jordon and not Jordan.  I know, I know, it's a forlorn hope.  :D

He was solid.

Upon replay viewing he was a lot more than solid.

That was a very impressive first outing after missing a whole year footy.  He seems to have some polish too and adds some silk to the midfield, something we needed in there.

Now to be greedy it would be good to see him getting around 20 possessions consistently the rest of the season.

Comparing him to “junior “. Is a huge call.   I do hope your correct. He  had a really nice debut. Not over the top but at times he had an important presence. He popped up at crucial times.

better than I thought he would go but then the FD always phone for my recommendations.
good luck to JJ

JJ backed up round 1 with another good effort v Saints.  Had 20 possessions and 9 tackles.  Seems composed and solid with the footy.  Still only 20 (December 2000).

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
