Its the mad booing for no reason that mnakes me totally hate thi s club.

I want to see some tackles from us that smash them so they wont win a flag.

Yeah think this one is all but over

Jones, Viney -  Jesus!

Done with this game. Gil has ruined any integrity the AFL had left and We are so far from handling the moment it’s scary. Big concerns

What the hell is our midfield doing? What the hell is our forward line doing? We could not be playing worse.

The style of football we played against Geelong has dissipated. What's happened to the chaos game? Not gutted but I'm very disappointed. This is a repeat of what Richmond did last night.

The only positives are they think they’ve won

and  4.8

could have been worse

Nup. Everyone nervous. Jordie slow as molasses. The run is over.

Would be surprised if we got closer than 70 points.

That’s was the worst 1st quarter I’ve seen in years

Playing like schoolboys.  Lucky we are not further back.  Time to settle, and get some composure. They are keeping it simple and we are fumbling and turning everything over.  We are not sticking our tackles or winning the contested ball.  Isa at our worst.

How is that incompetent onthetake bald [censored] Nichols umpiring in the finals?

Rattled, not handling the pressure.

The great news is that we actually can't play worse than this. Right?

How eerily similar is this to last night?

We have just got to come out firing and keep things simple. No more fancy crap. Just work hard and execute passes!

Shut up Nicholls you f'n dud.

Was a pathetic quarter. They looked extremely anxious and continually panicked, so whatever was said before the game hasn’t worked.

good thing is there are still 3 quarters to go, bad thing is there is still 3 quarters to go

Eagles not playing especially well. When you are under no pressure and you handball to a teammate's feet in the middle of the ground, the opposition will score.

We are playing selfish and lazy football, and not respecting WC.

We need a refresh. Not a single standout. Keeping Tyson in over Fritsch in dry conditions was a shocking oversight. Not the cause of all our problems but a catalyst in their first three.

This is why I was banging on and on about making the 4. Once we missed the 4 it was up to luck. Unfortunately for us we drew West Coast over there. I lived in WA for a decade and I knew this game was always going to be mission impossible. Next year we need to make the 4 and play these finals at the G. That is the only way. I think the only side I have seen in my time that could win today is the Brisbane side of Voss, Black, Aker and Lappin. Perhaps Essendon's 2000 side as well.

Face it guys, we are fumbly and have not settled one bit, the Eagles are playing bloody good football by taking our mistakes and moving it forward. The only saving grace is it isn’t a 10 goal lead for them at qtr time.

Unfortunately this team is not ready for a GF. Really need to target a classy ball user to play on the wing in the offseason.

Just look nervous, silly fumbles, missed handballs and targets. We just need to kick a goal to settle back in. Plenty of time to come back from this.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

  • PREGAME: Sydney

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
