His field kicking is what impresses me most. Nice to have a key back with great foot skills.

Frosty has improved also.

Yes there was 2-3 times where he kicked long to his intended target.

Stress relieved straight away.

This is easily his, and Frosty’s biggest test coming up. Two big fwds to contend with at the home ground.

Absolutely. Next saturday is true enemy territory

OMac, like Weed, is a confidence player. How he got confidence shows that not everyone needs to be hit over the head with the same stick.

Oscar needed games pumped into him in the firsts. Weed needed some games in the magoos to develop. Harmes needed a boot up the arze early in his career. It just goes to show it's horses for courses.

His game last night was awesome. He worried us all but he has confidence now.

Next week is going to be another tough day, but he is up to it.

He didn’t worry all of us. Some of us always saw the longer term plan, and that he had the essential qualities. Oscar has got where he is faster and younger than most were/are prepared to admit. The whipping boy treatment he got before probably the last half of this season has always been misplaced and ignorant.

A majority here owe OMac an apology.  The Hawkins game was only a month ago, where he was on song and delivery was almost unstoppable.

OMac's best game for the club last night.  A sense of calm now when he gets it.  Will progress and mature ala his brother and D.Grimes.

I always thought he has been OK for a long time. Only times he looked bad  was when the opposition get the ball in quick due to poor pressure upfield. Any defender looks bad in those circumstances and we were dodgy in that respect for a long time. Now he seems to get up the ground more where one he was almost permanently parked inside defensive 50.

O Mac and Frosty flogged Walker and Jenkins at Adelaide Oval a couple of months ago.

Darling and Kennedy a bigger threat, but our boys have shown they can take on dual established tall forwards and win.

And there's some similarities between both sets of forwards. Each have crumbled in big finals before...

Huge game coming up where he will likely play on Darling on their home turf. He has been great the last couple of weeks and the defence as a whole won us the game on Friday night imo.

OMac is solid, which is what you want in a full back. It all goes to show that a champion teams always beats a team of champions. Players all playing their role well and supporting each other make each other look good. OMac has always been a reliable backman but has been exposed by a lack of lock down pressure in the midfield on the turnover. No one can look good when the ball is slingshotting regularly into your defensive 50 with little pressure on the kicker.

We are getting that full ground pressure now and everyone is starting to look better.

All the backs look good when the mids and forwards are pressuring and spoiling up the ground.

Without the pressure from the rest of the team he is going to look very ordinary again.

This week will be a big test for Omac and Frost. If our midfield put manic pressure on theirs and the delivery is rushed or bombed, Darling and Kennedy will struggle. Will help if Max drops back regularly like he did against Hawks.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
