Congrats and best of luck to Lewy on a massive milestone this weekend !

Whilst he can be somewhat of a polarising player on demonland , I’ve always been grateful that he joined our club, I think what he has provided in experience, leadership and on field coaching to our younger group has been invaluable.

Well done on a stellar career and hopefully there’s at least one more finals campaign in there!!

okay not home grown but it is a real milestone and we should be proud that it is occurring while at our club.

For those who question his worth my comment re Jordan and Vince all year has been that their spots are there for the taking by any member of the VFL side.

Congratulations on joining a very exclusive club.

4 x flags

1 x AA

1 x BnF in a premiership year.

Well done and best of luck (even though he frustrates me).

Congrats Lewis!   will stand up in the big games, like he did on Sat night with 30 touches with a high efficiency rate

hearing him speak on 360 last night you could hear how much he is invested in Melb and how much he wants us to be successful

Congrats and well done on the 300 Jordan. A great AFL career to look back on.

Well said D d 82

Hope you have a great game Lewy?

Congrats to him.

I reckon the criticism of Lewis has been over the top around here. He does makes 1 bad blue a game, whether it be a turnover or an undisciplined act. However, he ends up playing a solid game week in week out and is always in out best 6-8 players. And he can't help it that he's 32 and lost whatever pace he once had (which from memory wasn't much).

He'd be of massive value to us if and when we ever play a final. While I'd imagine most of our blokes would be running around like headless chooks in the first qtr, he''d provide a massive calming influence to the side.

Well done Jordan. Thanks for your work so far.

I hope you play on next year. Your achievements in the game can only benefit all at The MFC

Is Lewis the first Melbourne player to have played 300 games (beside Neitz of course)?

As mentioned above, although it's not a 'homegrown' milestone, it's still a significant milestone for both club and player.

Also, aside from Neitz, does anyone know any other 300 game players who have donned the red and blue? Bit of a rare occurance at this club.

Does Scott Thompson count... ?

For anyone who queries the impact of Lewis on the group, have a listen to this week's Inside Melbourne podcast and listen to what Brayshaw says about him.

Lewis was, and remains, a fantastic pick up for this club.

I love seeing him in the red and the blue. I hate reading some of the carp about him here.

We were super lucky to land the bloke. Especially given we traded a pack of stale Cheezels to get him.

What would Brayshaw know.

Was about to post this. Also on YouTube so you can see as well as hear he sincerity when he speaks.

I’m not claiming to be his biggest fan but Lewis is not getting the appreciation and respect he deserves from many of our supporters.

As good as it would be to see Nathan Jones hold up 1 finger after a Grand Final, it would be just as sweet to see Jordan Lewis hold up five.

It could be less than 3 months away. It could also never happen.

The challenge is there. Make history Demons.

Congratulations on a fantastic career to date and 300 games this weekend. Still another chapter to write to a decorated career!

To think many here queried the 3 years contract, and frankly still do. Shame.

He hasn’t really disappointed in nearly 2 years - not just on the field - but the impact off the field for the Club among players and coaching group.

Nice tribute video, check out his son singing Grand Old Flag at the end

Great tribute. Glad his little bloke knows the words to the best team song in the AFL. ❤️?

When he left Hawthorn he had played 12 years of football for 4 premierships.

Clearly he had done the maths when he signed a three-year contract.

Glad to have him at our club. Getting him was one of those moments that change the mood of the club, a little drop of medicine for MFCSS. And is Angus says he's priceless, that is good enough for me.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
