Whispy Watson, Terry Wallace & Wayne Carey refuse to give us any credit.

Plough said the big winners over the weekend were the Kangaroos & Eagles & completely fresh aired us.

And as for Carey, doesn’t trust us, said it was the worst Adelaide have played for 3 years & still said we haven’t played anyone

Still a long way to go in 2018 & have a lot to prove but these big headed media ex footballers need to get there heads out of their arses & acknowledge 5 in a row & not far from the most quarters won in history

What do we care what the media thinks or says about us?  It's not going to change the way we play or the psyche of the players.  I think the club as a whole are going about this superbly - we aren't going overboard with celebrations on the field like we did in previous years, Goodwin still keeps things cool, calm and collected in his press conferences and re-inforces that we need to keep working hard to continue to achieve great things.  Who gives a stuff if Terry Wallet fresh airs us, or if Carey doesn't trust us?  Ignore us at your peril.

Patience, grasshopper.

With these things, always the winning comes first, then the recognition.

Usually it takes a victory over the journo's preferred team. One that's unambiguous and can't be explained away  with injuries, luck, bad voodoo, or head in the sand.

Win after win after win. Eventually a critical mass builds up.

Put enough victories on the board and the recognition, along with retrofitted opinions about how they always knew this was going to happen, will follow.

GO DEMONS!!!

I think its better we fly under the radar without the hype. Watson and Wallet will never back us. Even when Watson was reading out the match report on the 7 news Sunday night he was well, uncomfortable to say the least. Fork em.

They’re always wrong anyway. I’d be more worried if they were all over us.

They’re just looking at our opposition, to me it has little to do with who we’ve played but it’s how we’ve played. We haven’t struggled over the line, we’re demolishing teams. At the end of the day, it’s the media so who really cares.

Weirdly (and I’m sure I’m not the only one), I still don’t rate Richmond and they won the premiership - I guess credibility takes a long time to set.

Screw the media, they're irrelevant.

Totally agree, who cares what they think and just enjoy the ride.

No you're not the only one.

Where Dogs had an okay 2016 and then a very good finals series the Tigers had a great 10 week stretch from around mid July. Five games out from the finals I had picked them to miss the 8 but they did their supporters proud.

Im amazed anyone watches talking footy

These are the same clowns that in February said the Bombers were certainties to make finals, the Saints will challenge and West Coast would not make it.

Just ignore them, I prefer to be under the radar.

I’ve got no problem with the media not pumping up our tyres, I feel in the past they’ve been too premature with saying we’ve turned a corner etc. We’re well placed and playing good football, if they don’t want to acknowledge that then that’s their issue.

And for that matter I do think we still have something to prove in my books. Adelaide we’re very undermanned, they still had quality but if you look at how much of a difference TMac and Viney make for us the same can be said and more for Sloan and Walker.

What I can say about us is that there’s a ruthlessness that I haven’t ever seen in a Melbourne side. Remembering that we really would’ve killed the suns by more were we more accurate and efficient going forward.

Still lots of footy to be played and this is a new week.

When you win by too much, people question your credentials obviously. If we had won by 5 points, people would be raving about the Dees.

The press like to talk up the Pies! They beat Adelaide easily! Demons beat them by 10 goals more!!

Lids getting blown off on the couch.

Robbo and Gerard on AFL360 had quite a big pump up on us.

Hearing the words ‘devastating’ and ‘frightening’ to describe our game style was hard to comprehend!

Preseason Carey didn't pick us for the eight.  He also harped on about the camp.  He doesn't "trust" us.

When you have an ego as big as Carey it's hard to let go of your publicly pronounced proclamations.

A team that has won the second most quarters in a row in the history of the game deserves a little trust.

It’s funny isn’t it. We’ve won by so much that our opposition has just been complete rubbish. #Medialogic.

Be accurate and in context:

He said:  "..Not convinced just yet. Going very very well but not getting carried away. THE in form team and the way they win has been impressive..." .                    "... Roos did exactly what he was paid to do..." "... Lever absolutely superb..."

"...a successful and seamless succession plan..."

Darcy, Brown, McClure and Taylor say unselfish, modest, balanaced and can win the flag.

Reasonable assessment by the Duck. He has consistently been upbeat this year.

Who cares anyway - i bet Goodwin doesn't.

Hey Tim.

Thanks for, partly through the absence  of leadership from you know who when the team he captained was getting who knows what in an underhanded attempt at gaining illegal advantage, gifting us two of our most valuable contributors.  I wonder who taught him what leadership involves?

It is about the only win we have had in the trades involving your old club. Thanks.

And by the way my care factor for the opinions of you, or the other unmentionable mentioned in this report, or of helium man,  is far below zero

Not surprised Wallace ignored us. He's quite anti-Melbourne, always looking to sink the boots in when we're down or in this case ignore us when there's nothing he can pick on.

He's a deadset f*ckwit and a tragic waste of skin.

An OK 15 win regular season?

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
