Which Demonland regular will be the first one to melt down and make a fool of themselves if North kick a couple of goals early in the game, or hang around for a half?

"North are making us look like the Fish Creek reserves side.... I think we have the answer now as to if Goodwin can coach....HE CANT! Lever is a slow hack - 800k and two first rounders down the drain.... Easter was a week ago but the umpires are still crucifying us.... This is [censored]. I’m never following this lousy club again!! ... oh hang on Hogan just kicked one on the quarter time siren that puts us up by two points..."

Regulation win required.... 36 points

Interesting to see how Goodwin coaches....... all the other teams can beat North so no excuse for a loss

St Kilda didn't do a very good his last week ?

In Frankfurt waiting for reports.

No one here knows nor cares.

WHY CANT I SLEEP?????

GODEES!!!!!

I have felt worse before North games.

I think it will be a 2 to 3 goal win. Roos won't give up easily.

Several  years ago I put a nice bottle of Barossa shiraz to one side to cellarbrate ( sic ) ‘crushing the hoodoo’.  Thanks to our abysmal record against NM, it’s now perfectly aged, and should be drinking beautifully.  I’m very confident that I’ll be enjoying it this evening, but not so confident that I'll be pulling the cork to let it breathe before around 5:00pm.  Dees by 30 points.

Bug will will have an off day with his kicking. To kick 3 goals.

Gates open at 10.45am. Anyone know if there’s a curtain raiser on?

There is. TAC Cup side versus a VFL team I believe I read.

Even the Saints were with them goal for goal for a half.

North are putrid.

Sad indictment of the coaching staff that we lost to them twice last year.

Need I say it but a loss today will mean ???????

It was the fans fault ( specifically Demonlanders ) that we lost both games last year. Our expectations were too high. Let's rein it in boys and girls. Dees by 71.

This is not a test of skill or game plan or coaching, it’s a mental test. We should easily win On paper. Now believe in yourselves, go in hard and beat these [censored]!

winning will go a long way to us playing finals imo. People who say these hoodoos don’t affect the players are wrong

Just no fadeouts and we should be right, North will have a crack. Dees by 27.

If Goodwin is serious about a long coaching career, then it is a 6 goal win.

The midfield must work together to starve Brown.

Me - but not on this forum.

Well unfortunately I will be missing the game today. First one at the G in years. But my god please let this streak be over today. If we lose today tomorrows media will be wild. But im confident we will get the job done.

ah, AFL experimenting with bringing back the 2's.

North are in rebuild and are in the bottom 4 of the comp.

I expect to win comfortably today in the back of our best 8 to 10 players.

Hoping Nev, Hibbo and Lever can find some form and cohesion down back.

Our mids, in particular ANB, Dom and Harmes must be more accountable defensively to minimise the easy inside 50 opposition teams have had in the last 2 weeks.

Hoping Trac, Bayley, Jeffy and Jesse get to Eee a lot of the ball today.

On paper, we win by 46 points. On the field l will take a win by 1 point just to break this humiliating losing streak.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Essendon

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
