As much as I like the idea of a fit and firing Crameri, the fact that the bulldogs, who arent overly endowed with goal kickers and just traded their leading goal kicker, didnt keep him is flashing red warning light....

should we keep Hibberd and Melksham away from the youngsters too?

Not sure. Have they done something I should know about.

I'm sure about Crameri though.

What did he do as different Hibberd and Melksham?

For me have him as a mature age rookie costs us nothing and gives us depth. Not so sure about using a proper draft pick and senior position for him.

I think he’s referring to something else, nothing to do with his time at Essendon and the PEDs saga.

I have complete faith in the FD, but if this happened I would begin to waver

His last 2 years either side of the ban, have been abysmal, the game has gone past him, he wouldn't know forward pressure if it came and bit him on the arse

It's a yes from me then...

When fit, Crameri's a better player than Harmes and Bugg, who were regulars.  He'd also have Kent and vandenBerg covered.

Melksham and ANB's form was pretty solid.

He'd probably compete with Hannan for a spot.  I like Hannan, and am hopeful with a full pre-season he can be involved in games for longer.  Hannan's also a heck of a lot quicker when it hits the deck.

I see the forward line as something like:

Petracca, McDonald, Melksham

Garlett, Hogan, Hannan

But you never have everyone available and form dips, so I'd be very happy to rookie Crameri.

Crameri is a better player, based on what his last 2 yesrs, obviously the Bulldogs think so and all the clubs in a rush to trade him

with crameri and hartung and any other delisted player for that matter, it is pick 47 that we would be giving up for them. Pick 47 would have landed any delisted player that's been mentioned and we have already thought better of it. Before you say we're sitting back to make a decision at a later date to consider the options, well this draft period if anything we went and got things done that the club wanted. all these fringe players coming up as delisted options, we have already said not  to in effect giving up pick 47 for them. Pick 47 will be coming with us on draft night.

Can’t we pick up DFAs for nothing now, in the appropriate time window?  Won’t even cost us 47.  It is more a case if we have a spot we are prepared to use on the main list.  Otherwise we will have to wait for the rookie draft.  I think the FD will pass for the main list, and if history serves, will pull a Smokey from a state league before a DFA for either list.

From Adam Cooney's mad monday article perhaps?

"Hibberds and Melkshams: The animals of the group, rock up feeling the effects of the night before, nude by 12, abusing everyone by 2pm and home by 6pm. Great value."

But I don't see any mention of Crameri there (I can't access the article)... only Hibberd and Melksham; am I missing something?

Crameri is chasing us not the other way around. I hope we take him but it is very unlikely. Goodwin will have the final say on this.

I like that he wants to play for us but it might be rookie only (pending availability of a rookie spot) If we're intending to use pick 47 on a young draftee then being picked up as a rookie is Crameri's best chance.

The good news is that Crameri would relish one last opportunity so he wouldn't see being picked up as a rookie as a slight.  I'd entertain the thought because he'd cover a KPF depth issue which might eventuate.

We happily have cover for the in betweeners which I've always found to be a little odd.  You know, blokes who don't often have a particular position yet end up playing magoos footy.

Based on the fact he's had 5 seasons at AFL level where he's kicked over 30 goals in a season - numbers that Harmes and Bugg could only dream of. Put him in a training singlet and you'll be drooling over him in no time.

he used to be half decent, but has gone downhill at a very rapid rate.

This, game has passed him by & I'd rather put time into tim smith, cramerie will be full time vfl in 2018 for sure.

Rookie list yes. Primary list no.

He won't make either at any club let alone us, hence his public statement to be picked up by a club on the up where he has a few ties to the fd. Will play for Werribee or Williamstown at best.

Comments about him finally having his body right were also made by Dawes when we delisted him & he still hasn't managed to put on any boots since.

i've always liked Crameri but I'm unaware of his physical durability these days. Could be worth a one year contract if the club considers the window to be open, which it must, given we have traded for instant gratification  this year.

Im with you re Crameri. Insurance if Hogan has more injury concerns. But how the hell is trading for a AA 21 yr old Key back trading for instant gratification!? Geelong with Ablett is instant grat... but Lever has 10 years in front of him. So.... Im hoping to be  gratified over and over again Biffen. Instant... and long term :-)

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
