The AFL even hate ex-Melbourne players.

They certainly love their Essendon players.

And seriously, that effort was Grundy was okay but hardly worthy of top 3!

Seriously,  Howe took one of the best marks of all time.

It couldn't possibly be contrived, could it?

Are the mark and goal of the year voted on by the public or just the AFL?

Pretty sure it's the public so logically the clubs with the biggest supporter bases are advantaged.

Fraklin Should of got goal of the year in my opinion. Without a doubt.

The winner was the lesser of the three for sure. I thought Eddie's should have got the chocolates.

Thanks for that, makes some sense on the winners then.

I tell you what, Martin is sure lucky he's a pretty handy footballer, because just listening to him talk, he was always going to struggle to make it as a rocket scientist.

Don't know why - he is drawn from a good gene pool.

Well, it has been 2 hrs of the most riviting TV I have watched all year and I can't handle any more excitement in one night, so nighty nights good people's of Demonland.  Wake me up if Clarry wins it.

LOL

Clarry needs tatts to have a crack at a Brownlow.

Having said that, based on post #10 from this thread, he's a winner anyway.

I always enjoy Brownlow night, but this year's has been over-produced, really flat, and cringe-worthy .

I just cannot understand the goal of the year and mark of the year. Not to include either of Dangerfield's left footer from the boundary at full speed or Oliver's banana is ridiculous.  But Daniher for Mark of the year when Howe took pnenof the best ever - contrived and Essendon-centric.

No respect or time given to Melbourne, Port Adelaide or Gold coast.  Pathetic.

And Pendlebury on 15 votes?!?! I really rate this bloke and love his footy,  but he did not have that good of a year.

I see they've ditched the votes predictor across the rounds. I think it much better.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
