Great idea - but only pre-game?? Talk about classic AFL tokenism. Imagine if you were still  in a line for your cheap pie and the opening siren sounds!

I've been eyeing the 4 and 20 Beef Chilli pie the past 2 months but haven't dared messed with my hotdog and dim sim pre match ritual. I can't change it up this deep into the season with so much on the line.

Does this include those sensational gourmet pies they serve at the Midfielders Bar in the MCC?

Bloody expensive. But seriously, those things are good.

We were in standing in m56 Sunday and toward the end of the game one of the pie sellers was walking around handing them out for free so they didn't go to waste!

Damn right!

(Although I was in grave danger of bringing up said pie as part of the days' takings about 20 minutes into the final quarter......)

Financial encouragement could encourage me to double my pot intake. Gee it's lucky we're playing those Collingwood ferals. I still make more sense and am less obnoxious no matter how many pots I have.

Since they deregulated the pie industry, it's understandable why they sell them for $2. It used to be mass production lines had to use genuine mince. Now they can use Fat Cat's rotting corpse (with overalls and pork pie hat) if they so choose.

I heard a rather unsavoury story once from a co-worker who claimed to have worked at Four n' Twenty. I tended to go for bakery cooked pies after that.

I got violently ill from a Jesters pie I ate in Kalgoorlie a few months ago. It actually had a lump of bone in it the size of my thumb.

Gourmet pie they reckon. Never bought another.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to hear the story

It involved a hungover employee feeling the after effects of a night's revelry while near the meat vats. All foul scuttlebutt no doubt, but it left me leery of pies sold at servos.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
