Jack Watts will Never ever "Kick down the door" at Casey but is he isn't a better bet at this stage of the season than Weeds, I'll streak naked down Kings Cross and hope I escape unscathed!

In: Stretch, Saelm

Out: Petracca (rested), Viney (rested)

Gut feel/speculation - Viney could do with a break from loading his injury. Petracca needs a freshed up too.

Goodwin sounded reasonably happy with Weidman in his presser

Why is Watts required to have a "blinder" for Casey before being considered for selection? Nobody else has that requirement. Surely all he needs to do is demonstrate a willingness to contest most of the time which is what he was dropped for.

Keep the same side, we need some consistency. Weeds was probably pretty nervous he needs more time playing in the seniors to get used to the pace and the teams style and confidence, picking him and then immediately dropping him it not a good way to go. We may need him in the finals if we progress and have injuries/suspensions.  Watts needs another week at Casey, he needs to get his form back for the collingwood and hopefully the finals.

For all those who dont want Watts back in.

I think the things around what we wanted to see from them (Salem and Watts) was certainly a significant improvement to what they had been delivering at AFL level,” Plapp said.

“I don’t think we could have asked for too much more from them.

Out weid and someone

In Watts and Salem.

Absolute rubbish jackaub. Have a look at his emotions when we kick an important goal. He is usually the first to congratulate the scorer. He encourages and urges his teammates too. He is a demon mate, true and true. Forgotten the crucial goal after a gut bursting run against Collingwood? Have a look at his form before injury.

Salem will be suspended won't he?

For those suggesting Salem is back in - According to MMM he certainly was reported: https://www.triplem.com.au/sport/afl/news/christian-salem-reported-after-vfl-incident-against-northern-blues?station=melbourne

I agree with Demon Andrew that he swaps with Wagner if he gets off. Wouldn't mind seeing Stretch get a game (perhaps give Petracca a rest to freshen up for the pies?)

Can anyone please link something official that alludes to the fact that Hogan could be right for next week? I have no idea where people are even getting this information?

If Hogan is fit and good to go, straight back in for Weideman, otherwise he holds his spot

If Salem gets off, straight in for Wagner

Who knows tho; the way it's going we could select Kennedy, Trengove and Keilty to debut and I wouldn't be surprised

Dec's form definitely warrants it, and it doesn't hurt Goody gave him a mention in the press conference.

Might be a good chance to blood him against a team we should beat.

I didn't see the Casey game, so will not comment specifically, but Watts is clearly being challenged to show physicality and pressure. If he showed it, he will come back in. If he didn't, he won't. Pretty simple.

To bring him back otherwise goes against everything that today's win was built on.

Again, I stress, I didn't see Casey, so no idea how he went.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
