We live in a world where everyone wants answers now.  There wasn't a great deal the AFL could do until a process had played out.

That said, the next logical step is to review the process (i.e. why does it take days for the tribunal to sit?).  Will Dill do this?  Doubtful.

I saw that from Gil.  Yes, I am cynical when it comes to do the AFL.  The Essendon saga and the incestuous of the industry has worn me down. 

My reference to 'back in the industry'  did not mean I thought he would be back in the AFL per se.  It was a more generic reference based on things like when Fahour was in strife in 2012 it was Demetriou that helped him.  AFL tentacles and influence spread far and wide. Fahour may not work directly in the AFL sphere again, I just wouldn't be surprised to see him turn up in a satellite non-AFL organisation but still in the industry, in a multicultural/liasion role of some sort.  Cynical?  Yes.  Realistic? Yes.

If I know Arthur He would be raving about the Pho in Victoria St and the Halal snack packs on Sydney Rd.

I personally would be all for a Zero tolerance policy on punching. 

1st offence = lifetime ban if it was intentional. 

You can't as a code claim to be against violence against women, the coward punch and so on off the field but then only values punch on field as 6 weeks.

It comes down to duty of care mostly. Same way the AFL subsidised Ben Cousin's rehab (and offered the same support to James Hird). An employer has a certain amount of liability when it comes to things like this.

 

And I don't think it's helpful speculating whether the victim and their family have been offered support (other than to project your obvious distaste for the AFL's current administration). I think you'll find it's quite the opposite because, again, the AFL has certain liability in these situations.

Tbh Im not 100% over the hows and whens.  AFL Victoria in 2008 brought in an edict that should anyone accumulate a 16 games suspension aggregate  would automatically be deregistered.

He's now got 21. That means hes had 7 games tally prior ( since this recent was 14 games )

He was suspended for 3 games earlier in the year . I'm not au fait with the  other 4 to be truthful but you would have to start asking some questions
