How sweet that moment must have been.

Yes ok Good for Jack but let's not forget that Watts was principally responsible for us being 28 points down in the first half !!!!

I still feel like a 7 year old the day after Christmas. That win (and JW4's last goal) is a gift that just keeps on giving.

Let's tear some puppy dogs apart.

Either brilliant and supernaturally subtle irony ... or you're about 3 whipping-boys behind the rest of us.

I choose the former.

Hard to believe in the 21st century that us country kids only had radio back then BV.

The Radiogram I remember well. A mate's family had one.

"Old"??  Nah!  I prefer the term "Classic"!!  LOL

Our Radiogram was a "His Master's Voice (HMV)".  Classic, ornate timber cabinet.  Was a gem!

Another one... Watts in particular looked like he was really waiting his full 30 seconds when having shots on goal. I've always wondered why no player/team absolutely waits the full 30 seconds to begin the goal kicking run up. Especially with the gut busting running now days.

Someone mentioned it earlier but I didn't actually catch on to it, when did they start running a countdown clock at the game? I've always thought the theatre of not knowing how long is left when you're at the game is one of the things that makes our game unique. On the broadcast is different but is the countdown at the venue a permanent fixture?

So much better than Hamish's "Oscar-Elliot" and "Watts, kick, goal".

Seven are really pushing him but I'm simply not a fan. Hell I'd even take BT over him.

Maybe they are referring to the shot clock?  I think they do have a countdown clock along the electronic fence but only goes down to 2 mins but I didn't take my eyes off the footy on Monday so can't be sure

That is one of the funniest thing's I have ever seen! Of the ones they highlighted I would say 20-30% of them they'd have legitimate causes to argue, the rest you wonder whether they even know the rules!

In fact by highlighting those argued decisions it has only proven how ignorant they are! Are they going to do the same thing the next match they get a good run of decisions? When we lost to the Roos it was one of the most one sided umpiring displays I've seen, I was furious but I'd say close to everyone on here recognised that while they're a factor it's ultimately up to the players to do their job. The one passage of play that was of importance in the context of the game was the push by ANB and potential HTB following up.

Apart from that they are bloody sooks.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
