Wagner hasn't been near his best. I think he makes way for Salem.

If Gawn and Hogan somehow find a way back in, then things become really challenging.

Melksham is the query for me. Did he do enough yesterday ? Salem is a definite in. Hogan won't come back against the Pies. The week after for him. In 3 weeks the selectors will have a massive selection issue.

Whoever goes out this week, unlucky !!

Due to a family event I only was able to watch second half of the game from a distance but when I did glance across I thought I saw o Mac do some good things. Many here suggesting he should be dropped. Can someone give me a bit of a summation of his game?

If Hogan in TMac could go back (not a forward) OMac out.Salem for Wagner who only came good late. Harmes kicked 3 goals but otherwise only average. ANB is safe.

ANB did nothing!

Inns Hogan Salem, any one of Stretch, Kennedy

Outs Oscar, Bugg, ANB

Correct, he was one of the only players, along with Hibberd that actually stood up in the first half.

Milkshake and Harmes would have to hold their spot. Nibbler may have done just enough. I reckon there may be a surprise in store - Max or Jesse to come in.

Yes aside from that first quarter shot at goal I thought ANB was ok yesterday.

I think you're letting your bias get in the way picket, Alex ran id say as hard or harder than any other player, he used the ball well and tackled hard. It's not his best game for the club but he was far from our worst

out: bugg, Wagner

in: Salem, Kennedy

Changes v Pies

Have to see who's available.

Bugg is a conundrum.  I don't think he is an afl standard midfielder or half back, but he could be a useful half forward if he wasn't so wasteful.

It's a shame because I like his annoyingness except I find frequently that is I that is getting annoyinged.

Casey play Coburg at Coburg at 2pm on June 4 (next week).

Will be interesting to see who of the MFC players line up.

Not sure what rules there are but given that there is then an 8 day break until QB game I would not mind seeing the revolving doors (those three or four players who go in and out of the team .... Bugg, Harmes, ANB. Kent, Kennedy etc ) all playing for Casey and the best make the QB game.

If it's a nice day it might be worth a trip

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coburg_City_Oval

One anomaly is that Casey then has a six day break until it plays Collingwood at Casey on 10 June.... another interesting dilemna for how the QB emergencies are selected/played

With Frost on Lynch, OMac and Hibberd waxed it a bit as the loose man down back and also covered 2-metre Peter.

Like many DLs I can be critical of O-mac at times but throughout the game his intensity was high. He went in hard for the tackle when he needed and often flew almost maniacally for the spoils. He missed a few but invariably Hibberd was hanging at the back to clear up, but he also got quite a few spoils. Obviously his brother would have taken more marks as the sweeper but overall he did a pretty good job - the fact that Wright and Lynch didn't dominate is partly attributely to him.

As to the two errant kicks to Hunt to the grandstand wing, he may have had difficulty judging the boundary line because it was a really light line and at dusk was nigh on impossible to see.

Did he do enough to retain his spot. Yes. If T-mac returns to the defence does he keep his spot is another question but one that you need to wait and see what happens if and when Hoges and Gawn return.

My final comment on Oscar - he's coming along fine and if his intensity remains, he should stay in the side. He's not mega quick but he is mega fit and we have Frosty to play on the quick leading talls anyway. My wish now is that he get a game soon where they play him as a forward - as part of his development and he might surprise a few with his kicking for goal - he is one of the best kicks in the side- he gets into strife in the slow build ups

Fair enough.

For mine it's simple. Last time we had a good win we didn't change the side, and I think Goody will try to do that again.

Salem in, Wagner out. Most likely.

Sooks will call for OMac to go out, but I feel like matchups-wise he'll stay in for White, Cox or Moore.

Not sure I'd be comfortable playing an underdone Hogan and Gawn on Queen's Birthday.  Having said that, I'll be very nervous throughout Maxy's first game back, no matter when that might be.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
