The AFL can't afford them to be down for much longer.

Brayshaw was pretty much a PP. I don't have a problem with Brisbane getting assistance. I just hope they don't interrupt our window. Rockliff leaving and maybe even Schache would be handy.

On the surface it looks as though they've drafted well and with Beams, Christensen and a few others you reckon they will bounce back reasonably quickly.

The AFL essentially based the assistance on the mass walk-out a few years ago of Polec, Yeo, Docherty, Karnezis et al.

Bulldogs must lack leaders, and surely Beverage is under pressure now. Did the Bulldogs get his appointment wrong?

Fair enough sometimes you cannot tell on here about being serious or not. I mean look at the crap Clarko is copping and people saying they should trade Rioli. So my apologies.

Dogs are coming back only 13 points down. I suspect a few things were told to them at 1/2 time. I suspect the dogs will win this. But I have been a boyd defender but geez when will he impact himself on a game? Yes I know he did in last years GF but he has only taken the 2 marks and kicked the 1 goal. He needs to do a lot more.

I am in admiration of all those on here who still have an interest in AFL outside of the MFC.

Good work fellas I wish I was still that interested.

It comes from years and years of your hopes and dreams being pounded into the turf week after week Old Dee..... You think, gee i like football but....maybe there is some other game on that may remotely interest me.......

It must be amazing for the confidence when you know you'll never ever be pinged for incorrect disposal/throw.

They do get a fair run don't they FITB.

And I may well be the only one who's over the whole 'Bob Murphy the Bohemian' bit. I get it, he's a different cat. Dime a dozen in Yarraville.

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play
