Would love for the Swans to be 0-4 after tonight, unfortunately that would mean a West Coast win but you cant have everything.

Also,

'HAWTHORN recruit Jaeger O'Meara will miss against Geelong and is not certain to return for the Hawks' round five clash against West Coast after suffering a knee injury against Gold Coast last Sunday.'

Why isn't this game Free to air?

[censored] [censored] weak AFL.

Amazing .... just automatically thought it was... just went to turn on the game and Home and Away !!!!!!

Tough to pick. Went with the Weagles, but both teams look shaky.

And is it me, or does Domain Stadium look darker than other grounds at night?

Not on free to air and not paying live in the AFL app either. I've got a paid subscription in the app and they're not even playing the bloody game! What a rort?!

Yep, Jack is pretty much finished as a player. Amazing. Was a gun. No longer.

Yeah he's dropped off big time. Not winning much ball, giving away poor are kicks and 50 metre penalties, missing basic kicks. He used to be a very good player but the end appears to be coming quickly for him. Most of Sydneys midfield has been down this year thus far. JPK keeps on trucking, Hannebury and Parker are still winning ball but not having as much impact. They'll welcome Heaney back once he's ready, he's an absolute gun in the making.

Yep, agree with that, but their midfield depth in terms of genuine guns is not what it once was. Or, perhaps, it's more that midfields have to run deeper these days. I'd argue ours runs a lot deeper than theirs.

Swans, in for a long year. They look Very young but yet look really old all at the same time.

J Kennedy, farrkk what a gun! Did the Judd trade really work out for them?

How does the 10 metre rule work? No player can be within 10mts right? So if you mark and play in but a player is already within 10 they can now you down?

McGovern, also a really good player. Just rarely gets beaten in the air or at ground level.

Chopping the arms is like East-17, was popular for awhile then died (not literally).

For such a reliable defender, Grundy has been ordinary this year. And tonight has cost them probably 3 or 4 goals.

The Eagles are an odd side. They've got 3-4 genuine footballers who turn up at every ground, and the rest of them seem to only be able to play at home in front of 30,000 family and friends.

Love Aliir Aliir as a player. Would fit in nicely to our back six. As would Jones, who has really become a good player nowadays. Maybe a little defensively left wanting at times, but a really exciting player. And unlike many speedy linebreakers, is tough at the contest and in the air.

Swans missing 5ish players. Blooding plenty of good youth. They are set for years to come. Helps getting two number 1 picks when finishing in the top 4.

Think they'll have a down year, finish around 6th and dominate in the coming years

Sydney get screwed two weeks running. No more no less. Umpire no 2 pathetic. Same old stagers from Eagles run up free kick gets and of course the crowd noise never influences outcomes. What a joke.Several thousand supporters stop supporting football every year. Someone tweeted that to me.

The last time sydney started this bad was in 1993.  They won one game for the year and I'll remember it to the day I die.

A Sunday televised game against melbourne during the school holidays.

Im not bitter at all ????

Having lived in Bridport St for a time, guess i got a soft spot for South so forgive me if i mention their down time sometimes. They were saviours to a lot of the "have nots" in those days and their players and ex players were always in circulation around the traps, happily....

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
