I'm calling it now, we won't lose a game this season.

I like your style ET.

If you can't get excited as a supporter, especially after the decade or 5 we've endured, what's the point in following pro sports? No one's declaring the flag is ours but really what we write on here is irrelevant to the fortunes of the team. The only thing that may be affected is our own ment health but buy the ticket, take the ride eh

What a pack of no confidence merchants.

we will wipe the ground with Carlton next Sunday.

This is not the playing group of 2005 - 2015.

This a new lot with the talent to win a lot of games.

lift your eyes guys the horizon is brilliant.

I never thought I'd live to see you so confident old dee. The transformation is remarkable

Hope you enjoyed the F1 but I told you you'd miss a famous win ;)

When old dee is telling you to be more optimistic, you know it's time to cheer the #### up.

They better win next weekend as it's my wedding. Of course, I will be wearing an inflatable wine cask bladder tuxedo complete with balaclava.

10 minutes into the third quarter I was definitely get ahead of myself. I'd already booked my September flight to Melbourne, applied for long service leave and order the Premiership Season Highlights DVD.

And after the quality of footy I'd just watched I think I have every right to get ahead of myself. I do so because I'm a supporter and thankfully not a player.

Dr for the better part of a decade we had a very poor list. If your brain worked you could see we were going to lose constantly.

There was not much to be cheerful about.

We now have a much better list and the results are beginning to flow.

It is very simple we now have a list capable of winning a lot.

If my memory serves me I do remember saying you maybe right that I might miss a good win.

We must be 2nd favourites for the flag behind Richmond.

While we bide our time, we'll let everyone jump on board the drug cheat bandwagon instead and then watch it go down in flames.  It's almost as if they're the only team in the competition if you go by the papers today.

I'm still trying to figure out how to properly process the sensations experienced during the game. My 'emotional vocabulary' has a blind spot.

I'm looking for something that is the opposite of 'dread' and 'disappointment'.

I asked around at other clubs. Richmond suggested 'delusion'. Essendon and Carlton both nominated 'hubris'. West Coast said 'tabs'. GWS said 'inevitability'.

Sydney didn't understand my original terms.

Good grief. Maybe save us your insights and predictions until you've seen something.

It's a bit like giving a kid a new bike and saying, "Don't you go riding that." Of course we're going to ride the bike, and yes, we'll probably fall off a few times but we'll keep getting back on, because that's what human beings do.

I am on the freakin' bike and pedaling for all I'm worth. I can't see a stop light or a corner in the immediate distance so I'm gonna keep on pedaling.

GO DEES!

pretty simple for me now  - I look at the list and the talent  - if we play our best for four quarters there isn't a game we can't win.

Can you show me the post where I made a comment about the game or any of the players. I watched all the preseason games and the majority of the last ten years.

However you don't need to watch every game to know when a side is making big gains.

there is a simple solution for you  Pit don't read them.

It is a nice feeling Rev. There have been lots of times that I thought we will never get to this point.

All well dc.

Since the GP came to Adelaide I have missed two between Adelaide and Melbourne a petrol head from way back.

Listen to the last quarter on the radio, I have not listened to radio much in recent years.

I am not sure if they have the outside mic up to high or the dee fans were making a hell of a noise but it was hard to hear the commentary.

Switched between AW and LO and it seemed the same.

Is this what radio sounds like these days?

I don't think we've gotten ahead of ourselves at all.

We've thoroughly enjoyed the win, but nowhere have I seen supporters banging on about Top 4 or our chances of a flag.  We've spent too long down the bottom of the ladder to get ahead ourselves.  If anything, it's been pleasing to see most keep the lid on and mention that we need to back it up next week.

I would have to agree. And when we win the Premiership this year by a record margin, I'd like to think I will take a measured view of 2018, 2019 and 2020 which will surely represent a four-peat. So no, all good here.

While I understand the concern we showed two things against the saints that I haven't seen in years

maturity and leadership,

in the past we would have lost that game by 5 goals but Jones, Vince, Lewis, gawn, McDonald and Oliver stood up when the heat was on

and Jesse hogan is just reaching the level of scary good very quickly

This week's win was more important than last year's Round 1 against GWS.

GWS was coming in onto a ground they rarely play at. We were coming off an undefeated pre-season and were relatively fit and injury free.

This year we played a team we haven't beaten in 10 years on a ground we've won on once in the same period of time. We had one less on the bench for more than half the game, and came back from almost 5 goals down to utterly dominate a team that arguably players Etihad better than anyone.

We certainly shouldn't get ahead of ourselves because we *do* have some tough losses ahead, but we should most definitely go into Carlton extremely confident. That doesn't mean we're taking the Blues for granted. We should just go in confident that we're better than them, and therefore should beat them.

Did you mean games, or are you penciling in losses already?

No, I mean that we have to expect that there will be some bumps along the road. I think Essendon-like losses from last year are behind us, but I still think it's important to expect some hard losses that are tough to stomach. It's "managing expectations", as Roos used to say.

In the past it would be typical of us to capitulate to one of the cellar dwellers after a win like this. Rarely have we won two in a row. The game against Carlscum is a great opportunity to make a statement by putting our foot on their throats and pushing hard.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
