Anyone had any issues with trying to purchase tickets for round 1 ? Just tried to book some on level 3 through ticketmaster but it says there is nothing matching my search... Just wondering if anyone else has had problems

I'll be sculling from a bottleneck. Catch up for beers later?

We may have to meet up for a Somalian Chicken and a fair trade latte in Flemington.

They sold beer in the area back when Phar Lap was racing.

Both the Saints and we have about 35K members, all of whom are filled with hope and expectation

. The capacity is 50K minus the Medallion club.

Level 3 might be for walk ups, but there sure won't be many available and the queues will be catastrophic ( as usual at Etihad).

We have bought reserved seats, but not many available at all.

I'd rather fish n chips in Moorabin Biff.

Goes well with beer and taunting Saints supporters

AFL member here (Melbourne club support, but also a Melbourne reserved seat member), so will just go through the gates. No waiting in line for me (besides security check)

I've reserved seats in the tiny area allocated for AFL Members on level 1 centre wing. It's bemusig that the stadium owned by the AFL has worse facilities for AFL Members than the MCG does.

The ground is just an absolute farce, i'm not a tall person at all (170ish cms), but struggle for leg room with the chairs in front at etihad, never have this issue at the G

As MCC members we get to purchase tickets on level 2 (at a great cost) only to be stuck behind the goals. When asking for bay 35 (middle) we are told "best available". Yeah right. They treat you like theatre patrons. So our group refuse to go and spend a cent there. I shall be going though to see the Dee's but in the Crown box.

Went on to ticketmaster and booked two seats on the wing lower level for $20 plus fee each.  Seems as if there are seats available if you want them.

I'm not willing to take the chance of getting a seat in the top level, on the day with my 18 game membership.

Are you an AFL member? My understanding is the wing on the interchange side is AFL member reserve and the wing on the opposite side is stkilda members reserve

Do you have to book those seats (AFL reserve) or do you just show your AFL membership card. If I recall the seating was closer to the fifty metre line than the wing but I could very well be wrong

Not an AFL member but a MFC member, seats are on opposite side to the interchange, level 1 aisle 5 seats H 18 and 19, is that supposed to be for the saints members? Hope I'm not sitting amongst Saints supporters, unless we are miles in front that is.

Go through the AFL website click on buy tickets and get a club member up grade go for level 3 front row....I got front row level 3 right on the wing above the medallion club.

It looks like an all melbourne members.."away team" only area. This is the go at $20. I think t will be packed and if you are going to walk up get there two hours before the bounce.....yes ....just to get in holding a reserved seat allow at least an hour before.........!

Are you serious, I have tickets to the game in the away members area level 1 and you reckon it's going to take an hour to get through the gate? I've printed off my tickets, so is that still an hour?

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
