We get great drive from both Macs.  Both take chances with attacking kicks and handballs.  Tom especially switches play on an almost constant basis. You wouldn't know it reading this site though

Don't mind the 2 rucks but Spencer up forward is a concern ... not sure we can throw him down back and we don't want to waste a bench spot which would otherwise be used for rotating the mids.  Jake competes well and he goes hard so that's not the issue.

It's always ok to experiment in these sorts of games though so it's not a wasted exercise.  I'd expect Watts to come in sooner rather than later.

I prefer to keep waiting big red. First match is still a few weeks away and at a ground that we have a woeful record on vs a team that has an amazing record there. Hopefully all that changes after Rnd 1

I agree Macca. I doubt he will get many opportunities unless Maxy gets injured (touch wood that doesn't happen). Probably just managing big Maxy's workload coming into the real deal more than an experiment. Big Spencil is handy in these sort of matches and VFL level but fairly immobile to play anywhere but through the middle, which is a luxury most teams cant afford to risk in today's game.

We faded a touch, but mostly due to some dodgy umpiring decisions.

The heat has gone out of the game DJ ... we've been very good and the only worry is Brayshaw - I'm hoping it's only a precaution as to why he's off.

    Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force for training at Gosch's Paddock on Wednesday morning for the MFC's School Holidays Open Training Session. DEMONLAND'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS REHAB: TMac, Chandler, McVee, Tholstrup, Brown, Spargo Brown might have passed his fitness test as he’s back out with the main group.  Sparrow not present. Kozzy not present either.  Mini Rehab group has broken off from the match sim (contact) group: Max, Trac, Lever, Fullarton

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

    Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on.     There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training.     A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
