For those who watched the 'derby', considering they're our next opponent in the JAT series, how did West Coast look?

Like the challenge we need leading into the real stuff!

If we beat them we are in for one hell of an exciting year...

Their forward line looked great and their midfield will be a huge test...

If we put a strong side on the park that resembles something like our best 22 then we will have a much better idea of where we sit...

Joe 'I only play well against Melbourne' Daniher just went a whole game with one handball to his name.

Suns pipped them in the end but I don't think either side will be close to playing finals this year.

Good to see Essendon lose

Sat through most of that game.  Both sides were well below strength but it was a horrible standard.

Bulldogs down by 25 points mid  way through second quarter against Brisbane

Would be grateful if someone could comment on the relative strength of tonight's team against that fielded by the Dogs in last year's grand final

Dogs aren't close to full strength, missing quite a few such as the Bont, M. Boyd, Liberatore, Wallis, Roughead, Murphy, Dalhaus etc.

Lions playing well but they aren't exactly playing a strong side.

Posted (edited)

On a quick look, it's a weaker dogs team than last week.

Outs include Murphy, Libba, Roughead, Hunter, Dahlhaus, (Campbell)

Ins: Picken, Wood, Suckling, Morris

Have not played either game: Bont, wallis, M Boyd etc

The doggies played really loose today.  I  can't see them doing that during the regular season.  They basically played with no accountability for three quarters and then almost pulled it back in the last.  Nowhere near as hard or contested as the game against us.

If I hadn't seen the Doggies' line up I would have thought there might be trouble in their camp. It was definitely their B team last night and they still almost got up to win. Their unofficial JLT ladder position isn't looking good -

The bullies had 9 of their GF team playing, so yes, very much a second string team.

This is what I mean....

Fans during the JLT:

Melbourne Supporters: North only won their games because it was JLT but look how good we were against the blues and dogs
Richmond supporters: Get over yourselves Melbourne its only JLT but look how good we were against Adelaide
North supporters: Come on Richmond its a weak Adelaide side in a JLT match but look at what we did to both sydney and hawthorn!!

Brisbane supporters: We are just happy to have a win :)

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
