Kent was the only one to appear heavier than how I recall them at end of season. I would not say out of shape but certainly stood out to me as not looking right. Petracca looked no different to me than last year. I know it was the first session back but he really does not appear to push himself during running sessions unlike some which I find disappointing.

With Trac running with Kent, Frost and BenKen none of them seemed to be pushing really hard, they completed all the runs but could be under instruction not to push really hard

My report  had a chat to all the wounded

VDB ankle cleaned out, just getting back into it, not too far off

Mitch King, he and medical/fitness staff really pleased with his progress

Jack Viney, hip is fine, again making progess to full fitness

JKH hamstrings are fine, has daily program to build his core

Tommy Mc, who came disguised as Dante Exum, shoulder progressing, on schedule

Didn't mention Col Sylvia - getting ready for his first full preseason.

Dont worry AzzKika.  Im sure they'll work it out.  Its only football.  See the ball, get the ball, handball it, kick it, smash someone, get smashed by someone, get up, go and get it again, be on time, eat your vegies, get a beanie with a pom pom on top, buy a Nena Pasadena shirt...

....and don't let anyone carrying a needle anywhere near you.

I think they are under no instruction, but all are lazy and looking to start slow so that their running looks to significantly improve throughout the pre season. Especially Trac

Just watched 7 news Stevo is a gem had Trac looking about to collapse and Hoges clutching his hamstring.

Hoges did have bit of tightness during the session, as he does now he immediately spoke to medical staff, had it massaged, like he does every session, had no issue completing the session

I'm jealous of Hogan, he looks good with any hairstyle, I'm stuck with a permanent.

I've recently had to go with the greasy comb-over.

The wind plays havoc with my "hairs".

They are long enough now for an" Ad-exec from the 80s "ponytail.

I though Jetta looked like a man but not very old. So finally looks like he doesn't need ID to buy a beer-which some might say means he if finished.

When people say jetta looks old I feel extremely old given that i am always older than Neville,

I think wigs will make a comeback .

That's not ideal.

I still think they need to work on his running technique to take the pressure off his back.

Thanks for link.

Agree with those saying Billy Stretch looks stronger across arms and shoulders, as does Brayshaw, from those photos.

Wouldn't like to meet Maynard in a dark alley late at night either. Strong lad.

Seems that MFC Twitter has also recognised Saty at the opening of training:-

"It wouldn’t be the first day of the pre-season without an appearance from training regular @Demonpk! ? #myheartbeatstrue"

And a picture with Demonpk dressed to the nines and standing next to a bloke who I can only opine is a bodyguard.

Sorry, don't know how to reproduce the picture.

Anyway, please keep the reports and views coming. They're most welcome - from all posters who go to the sessions and make their observations.

Thanks.

No.  They are the only guys who will be left when our late picks come up.

Thanks to Saty and all reporters live on the scene. Going to really try to get down from Sydney for an early next year session with some more skills focus but for now will have to rely on our training threads here.

Muchly appreciated

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
