So if he floats he is a very small rock or ..... a witch?

You need to visit the MeagaBrantis star cluster.  Things are much easier to understand there.

Wonko The Sane would have difficulty working out how Prince H ticks...

The club gave him the all clear during the year & H said "no i am not ready"

something is not adding up. There is more to this

With the emergence of Hunt and the acquisition of Hibberd and Melksham he knew he was gone, I've got no doubt he was concussed on the first occasion but then it became the new "bad back".

And he used to have the name O'Brien. What an embarrasment for the Irish. A complete tool.

So with H and Dawes gone we should have ~$1 Million Cap space.

Nice to free up room for Fyfe next year!

Add Grimes to that and we're up around the 1.5 million mark. What a mess when when you look at it that way.

Maybe. I am sure it will all come out soon.

As Vogon has stated. Nobody actually saw him get concussed as far as we know....

Some wild speculation on my part here, but what if by the time the MFC said he was ready, he knew he would be unable to break into the 22 because of Hunt?

Much easier to reconcile 'ongoing concussion issues' with 'not good enough any more' with his giant ego.

...been thinking the same wild speculation 'Choke'. There seemed to be a few ahead of him by the end of the year and maybe he wanted or thought he deserved a guaranteed game. Casey didn't appeal.

neil mitchell's comment - "goodbye"

What the hell would Mr. Symbolism know?  If that guy had anything to do with this football club we would be overdosed on gestures by the 2nd week.

Obviously all aint good above the neck with H.  He may turn out to be Roos' first failure at landing an established player from another club.  Neeldy had 5 in his first month.

I hold out a scintilla of hope that he does a mea culpa; gives a Rudd-style apology whilst looking over Gosch's paddock,  and gets his nose down and bum up....

Any supporter who thinks we don't need what this guy brings (run and carry and break a line) is kidding themselves.  Actually, we have a few obviously.  A few months ago, many here rated us nearly as good as the bulldogs; and better than the saints FCS.

No doubt we need this, it's just a shame that Lumumba is far too slow to offer such qualities.

Quicker than Lewis and a heap of teammates....

He holds on to the ball?  Correct?

He doesn't get caught HTB all that often.  Maybe his last 1-2 games, but there are mitigating factors there.

Slow is only a problem if you get caught with ball too much.  Sam Mitchell is slow, but that has never been an issue.

Surely your not comparing Lumumba to Jordan Lewis?

Also speaking of Half back I'd rather Hunt Hibberd Salem and co to The Fresh Prince of Bel Air any day of the week.

I have been reading some quotes attributed to Lumumba.

Full of contradictions and on first reading he hasn't a hope in hell of winning a case against us, then I realised he is as mad as a cut snake.  Could he claim that his madness is a result of the concussion? Pay him out and move on.

Yeah Pizz him off an irrational human being who added little to the team over two short years.

Perhaps he needs to go on some other  pilgrimage to find his inner self

Maybe the thinking chair is busted. Who knows who really cares.

From all the reports, the Demons have managed this well. Their care has not been negligent and there has not been a lack of care. So a disappointing position by the player. However, one thing that has got a lot worse in this world is the blame game. More and more people want to blame others for their misfortune and profit from it. It is a sad feature of our society today.

However, I agree with many on this thread that the player would have struggled to get a game this year and at best was good depth. His disposal and brain fades and contested footy would not have cut the mustard. A recruitment fail.

Thing is, for me H isn't best 22 right now anyway so he'd need to have a significant jump in form to gain and lock down a spot in the best 22.

had he managed to find some form and played well this year the club would likely have re-signed him anyway. sounds as though he thinks it's all a bit to hard and wants to blame everyone but himself.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
