Would be interested to see how he would have gone with the list we have now.

The game plan was garbage, but who knows how he saw it developing once we had the list he envisaged.

Wait, thinking about it more, we would have been in even more trouble, as the game has travelled in a 180 degree direction from where he has us heading.

Imagine playing today's top teams, with a list full of Mortons/Bleases/Gysberts etc. OMG, horrific.

Poor bastard really was out of his depth.

Question now is the new guy going to be any good?

No the question is what is the point of this thread?

Can a dead  horse be flogged twice? This is the pre game speech when we lost to Essendon  by 148 points.

laughable! at best, at worst an indication of why and how this guy ever ever got selected as coach! Period!

This is a pretty [censored] poor thread. I was not a Mark Neeld fan but to start a thread purely to [censored] kick him is [censored] weak. Mark Neeld has moved on and so have we.

Paul Roos was right all along with the negative veil that supporters still carry.

I don't think Neeld was much of a coach but I think Roos put it succinctly when he said on the couch that it isn't all about the coach, it's about the people around the whole club. There's a reason that he brought over all the assistant coaches that he knew.

Why the hell with the club going in such a positive direction would anyone want to dredge this cr@p up? Seriously it's in the past, it was a terrible time, why do we need to relive that horror show?

Part of me has sympathy for Neeld. Another time, another place he might've been a good coach. For us he wasn't what we needed at the time.

Not by himself he didn't. Even on the coaching team, what the f was Neil Craig doing, yet alone others in the FD, the Board, the Admin?

If there's one thing Roos has shown (us) is that it's not just the coach, it's the people around him, and the whole club, from the President down. Kicking Neeld like this misses the point. Also, it's not Neeld's fault he was appointed to a position that was (probably) beyond him in the first place. I've hired people who weren't up to it, but have never blamed them but looked at what I did wrong to let that happen.

Anyway, agree with much of the above, this is water well under the bridge now, and thankfully we have people at the club who know what they're doing (especially PJ).

Hard to forget history though.

Negativity will be lifted when we can beat the wooden spoon team or are no longer completely lost on the other side of town (docklands).

If clubs put these video's out for public consumption, they are fair game to comment on.

For sure.  Regurgitating ancient history purely for the sake of reminding us how painful it was doesn't help anybody though.

Nah its actually quite easy to forgeg when you know your team is on the up ready for success over the next few years.

But hey if you want to keep bathing yourself in negative past tense then run wild..

Me? I'd rather watch YouTube video's on our win against Hawthorn Collingwood Port knowing the only way is up from here and the exciting talent we have on board.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
