depends. if lions lose 61 to 100 basically no change.

to drop their % by .5% over 22 games they need to lose by an extra 11 points

so if Aints kick 100 they need to kick about 50 (i.e. 61 -11 = 50)......lets say a loss of about 51-55 to be safe

ok so essendon is essentially 61% not 60%

so in the above it changes the 11 points to about 9 points, so still a win > 100 to 50 to get below

so saints roughly need to double their score give or take

Interesting.  So EFC will most likely succeed in getting the #1 pick.

EFC tanked vs Lions and now put the cue in the rack at 3/4 time vs the Blues.  So bleeding obvious!

And we can bet the AFL won't investigate them!!

Why aren't the Bombers being given the same draft pick they got last year, ie where they would have finished with their 12 players. It's a disgrace that Jaeger could walk to the Bombers without the club having to give GCS anything ,when Bris are the real bottom table club

Bombers percentage is 60.993.

If Brisbane score 50 and St Kilda score 104, Brisbane's percentage will be 60.994. So if Brisbane score 50, St Kilda need to score 105+.

If Brisbane score 60, St Kilda need 121+.

if Brisbane score 70, St Kilda need 138+.

Not the first time I've said it. Thank God for Richmond.

My thoughts exactly.

It just shows how Geelong and Sydney needed to pound us and them today.

It all makes a bit more sense but still hurts.

Carn bloods!

Just watching the replay now. Our jumpers are more black and yellow than I thought and we're a lot further behind than I remember, but the play is practically as I recall.

Thanks Nasher, this made me laugh

Is it possible to have two 186 moments  in the one day?

You mean we're not top four in 2017? You lie.

You've got to love the AFL. They've really established an even competition.  And it just gets better again with Sydney and GWS having the pick of this years draft via their academies and Gold Coast having that many picks inside the top twenty that it's laughable.

It's a shame Sydney don't quite have as many deadly predators as Geelong, or this wouldn't just pass 186, it would blitz it.

Ah well, we'll just have to settle for the knowledge that this final round will be largely written off as farce now.

And that Richmond will spend another off-season in crisis.

Imagine if Prestia changes his mind!

Congratulations, AFL. Your equalisation policy is working a treat.

So wonderful that you've basically killed all the Victorian clubs by giving 3 sustained drafts of players to GWS and establishing a rorted system where Sydney get gift-wrapped gun midfielders every year for a packet of chips.

It's working brilliantly for the bottom end Vic clubs. In all likelihood the top three will be Sydney, Geelong and Hawthorn. Sound familiar?

Honestly SaberFang, today p155ed me off. We're lining up to praise Paul Roos after we've been belted by 111 points. It's a cricket score. And there are clubs above us (considerably so) who will now get better players into their clubs. Equalisation is a crock.

    GAMEDAY: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie
