Pretty much what Mike Sheahan implied on AFL360 tonight.

Yep, the system is designed in such a way that they can twist the rules in whatever determination they like to get you off, if you have enough mates in the MRP. Corrupt, farcical joke.

Any opportunity for "interpretation" is music to the ears of the AFL, because it gives them the chance to pull the strings for whatever will achieve the best financial outcome. Hence the "big name" players like Cyril, Buddy, etc. always getting off with contrived and outright incorrect rulings of intent and force.

The system is rigged.

After Colin Sylvia had his jaw busted and nothing happened i have had no faith in the AFL Tribunal.

In the old days VFL Suspensions were quite harsh.

6 weeks was not unusual.

TV dictates that players play....

If all the dominos fall that way and it does rest of North v GWS I reckon that would be hilarious for a group of Melbourne fans to set up a second cheer squad right next to the North cheer squad.

I also think (less confrontational) there could be a group set up next to the GWS fans. Would probably be a larger group!

But plenty of water to go under the bridge first.

If we make the 8 almost certain we will play Geelong again in elimination final

l think

Think it would also depend on Hawks vs Eagles this week. My ideal finals opponent would be Bulldogs at the G as I'd give us a good chance and it'd be a cracking match

I hate to be a negative nancy, but i think we will lose to Geelong so it won't matter, but regardless of finals or not, i think we'll win 11 this year, have Max in the All Australian team and probably the top 10 in the brownlow and have successful re-signed every regular best 22 player this year ( been a while since we've done that ) so all in all a great year.

The AFL are really the worst.......How come Sydney have to play their  home finals at ANZ Stadium?.....They haven't played there all year....It is NOT Sydney's home ground....The surface is crap and shifts.....How is this fair?    I know that it doesn't affect us but lets try to run a fair competition.    I suppose Adelaid will have to play at AAMI stadium.....No I didn't think so.

Just out of curiosity. If geelong finishes 5th and plays us or north melbourne, should it be at Simmonds or at the G?

The AFL is run like the WWE and I'm not even exaggerating.

Yeah the stands make it a bit of an outlier, I think its gonna be a nice little stadium when its finished. But assuming it was intact, it would still be at the G or at *shudders* Etihad to fit larger crowds. I am divided as to whether it is right or wrong. But it would be nice to play them at the G for once.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
