We turned it on in the first half. Third quarter wasn't great but the old Melbourne would've rolled over at that point. Instead we blew it back out to 7 goals, despite the lack of impact from our key players. Great win.

I feel like making a gif of every Oliver possession, he's a magician.

When will Neville Jetta get his due recognition? He's pretty much a mini-Rance for us, with better disposal.

Max brilliant again.

Not his best game but how many players can kick goals from that pocket? Watts made it look easy.

Hogan has probably shot himself in the foot with the stalled contract negotiations. His value was higher last year. Bad luck buddy.

I only read the match day thread so...should I start slashing my wrists yet?

Yes. It was a horrible loss. Pass the hose through the window.

Great last Quarter Demons.

They threw it all at us and the young kids stood tall.

Yes it was ugly and we missed some shots but we kept Port to 14 scoring shots

next week i hope Garlett spends some time in the midfield. Let him run...

Good win  can relax again for anoTher week

Nice to win away  something we are improving on This season

Our best players were off and we still had a 40 point win so when they are on we can be quietly confident of bearing anyone now

As for hogan  he is still a kid   in his second year   he will have off days  this is normal even for the best players     lets give him a bReak

Bring on carlton

9th    somehow i am not happy wiTh that...

Smashed em in the first half, weathered the storm in the 3rd and played all over them in the last and won by 40. Should've been 60. I'll take that every day of the week.

Smash the Blues this week and it's gonna be tough finding tickets for the Cats game. Has Western Oval in 87 written all over it.

Wow not having foxtel and just relying on looking at scores on the net and reading on this Im shocked that we won. reading comments about Jones shouldnt be captain, bernie's disposal was hopeless and viney was quiet and Hogan should be traded. Well maybe it's a sign that we can cover these boys when they are down. We no longer have to rely on our captain to do everything. Now Oliver, Brayshaw, Tyson and Hunt now step up.

People we have won 3 in a row. We have won 10 games. YES 10. We have just won interstate and against a team we haven't beaten in years. I don't include Nab challenge. For years we have complained when we lose and people want to give up and now we are winning and now 3 in a row people are still complaining.

Turn up next week at the G and get behind the boys.

Sorry I'm about to be a hypocrite but geez some losses are going to come back to bite us.

Our defense was excellent. Thought both McDonalds, Jetta and Hunt played great games.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 19th February 2025

Demonlander The Analyser was the sole Trackwatcher out at Casey Fields today to bring you the following observations from this mornings preseason training session. Training  was at Casey today. It consisted of a match simulation for one half  and then a free choice activity time. Activities included kicking for goal,  aerial , contest work etc. I noticed the following players not in match simulation Jack Viney  running laps and looks fine for round one . I think Kolt looks like he’s im

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
