Not sure if you guys have noticed, but Jesse Hogan has been getting a lot of his ball on the wings these past few weeks. Jack Watts has actually been out full forward a lot of the time. Now with Weiderman in the side, fitting all these forwards together will be a nice problem for Goodwin to solve over the next year or so.

Up there with Olisik's thread on Nathan Jones as the worst thread on here this year.

Some just can't enjoy winning.  What a shame that is.

Keep your opinions about other posters to yourself mate. No one cares.

Yeah, nah.

How is that Nathan Jones thread going, by the way?  Embarrassing.

No issues with that thread mate, also it has nothing to do with Jesse. Only thing embarrasing is you clutching at straws to have a go at people. As I said, keep it to yourself as no one cares.

Absolutely we need Jesse Hogan. Lets not forget the kid is 21 years old! To put that in perspective Josh J Kennedy is 28, Buddy 29 and even 'the best player in the comp' Tom Lynch is 23.

Sure he can mope around times etc. but he is still a baby in relative terms...  so give him a break, and watch him continue to grow and dominate! Wouldn't trade him for the world....

Yeh, best young forward in memory is superfluous.  Silly...when we win premierships we can start thinking about this rubbish. Keep it in perspective - the win should be a stepping stone, and hogan is essential for the future.

And can we get over the up the ground stuff, he's a CHF, he'll be a multiple time AA because doing that stuff while kicking 70 goals a year

Weideman F.F

Hogan C.H.F

Watts - swingman

Gawn - resting bomb-ball pack buster.

It's all coming together. Our coach in waiting must be pinching himself after today. The players can feel it now.

On the balance of probabilities, at the end of the day, when considering all future contingencies and likelihoods, and upon scrutinising the range of potential results vis-a-vis whole-team performance, seasonal fluctuations and eventualities of numerous match-ups in diverse circumstances, one is led to the conclusion that, barring unforseeable and extraordinary eventualities our relative position is improved, both now and into the future, by the continuing presence of Jesse Hogan in or around our forward line.

Would be a top 3 back man right now if played there. Is a promising forward. Has shown enough to even suggest he is worth 1 million a year. Given he can play at both ends, I see no problem with offering the kid a stack. Buddy is on a stack, Rance is on a stack, and this kid can do it at either end. Not just forward, and not just back. Could probably even be a rover. I've seen him ruck our forward line effectively as well (at times). There is nothing Hogan cannot do. You don't go getting rid of those type of players. Not for Fyfe, or for anyone.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
