Of course he or any of the other players are going to say they enjoy the trip to Darwin when being interviewed. 

If we can tighten up the turnovers without losing any speed when moving the ball we will win easily. 

If Grimes is ever going to get another game it will be this week.

I know we don't have a good record at NT and have a 6 day break.  But weather conditions will be fine. 

Our team is young.  But all of last weeks 22 have had several preseasons so there is some reasonable conditioning there.  And we did have a 2 week break.  Bring in Oliver, Trengove and Wagner and there are some fresher players.

And did anyone see Freo's last game vs Coll?  Both teams were appalling.  They don't have a ruckman and are playing a bunch of their reserves team.  They don't have any effective forwards. And forget their backline!  Shut down Neale is the major challenge.

Worry about the week after Darwin but if we lose this week it will be as embarrassing a loss as that to Ess in Rnd 2.

We finally have players that are too good for that level. As a Top End resident and long time D's supporter who has attended every footy match played by the club at TIO stadium definitely agree with the later post! Most recent results have not been so great but feeling confident and positive about team performance this week. Go Demons!

Btw the game is at night so it won't be 33 degrees.  Overnight low f/cst is 21 so game conditions may not be too bad with no rain for some days and low humidity.

Freo have only about 28 players fit to choose from.

So even allowing for their extended break it will be a shock if we don't beat them.

Grimes and Trenners are not popular selections on here, but both are endurance runners and could be very useful in the heat.

Caution with younger players in the heat. Probably best to hold oliver and brayshaw's selections for Perth.

One day we eventually have to win a game against these guys, and with the enormous list of players they have missing, well........ we should win.

But ofc we probably wont. 6 Day break, team of kids, yada yada yada. NO MORE DAMN EXCUSES! A win is the only acceptable option this week.

I will even take a scrappy 1 point win in a low scoring slugfest. 

The club would no doubt know how important late season wins against some decent opposition teams are to set us up for the off season trade and free agency circus, so if we dont come home with the chockies this weekend i reckon our chances of landing a big name go down the gurgler. Lose, and our confidence takes yet another hit, ,doubt creeps back in, and the team starts to focus on the possibility of repeating our disgusting finish to last year.

The time is now. Not next week, not next year, NOW. We simply must win this week..

I think it was Roos not embarrassing Dawes by talking publicly about his contract status (OOC this year) or creating distracting headlines for the team, while still letting other clubs know that if they want Dawes to come and talk to us. 

Dawes would know his future is on the line especially once Roos goes.
