That's a bit of a worry!!

If it's true.

Have just heard it on good authority that 21 of our 22 players are struggling with this "mystery" illness....

Only Bernie Vince is 100% fit although struggling slightly with a hangover

Conspiracy?

some people  have been putting illness in quotes - implying they are suggesting there is something else going on.  Tin-hats on everyone.

Convenient that the names mentioned are our key players.

Does it happen to be affecting Garland, Hunt, Wagner, etc.

once they cross the line they're fit, if they have a bit of a bug, or winter cold, then run through it for 2 hours and they're done. every club has bugs go through the team but still field 22 players. I got a text saying that about 6 players were carrying a bit of an illness. First time I've ever got "inside info" and posted it. A friend was out for dinner with someone that works at the club last night.

Well, at least if a number of our players are carrying this illness/bug there is a huge chance that we may indeed $hit all over Brisbane!

That's a fair point. Perhaps the Lions would be more worried about the Bugg that's about to run through them.

I wrote illness in quotation marks because I was quoting a quote. Or maybe I'm part of a grand conspiracy to bastardise punctuation marks?

My mates a bulldogs supporter and just asked what he thought we'd go like today and she said the team seemed up but half a dozen players were a bit ill, he sent me the three names and tyson, my mate loves winding me up at the same time, but the illness seems to check out. Could be pulling my leg on the other names, but Tyson was correct.

Sounds like rubbish to me. Sure 22 may run out, but if players have say a cold, then it must affect their ability to run for 2 hours.

Sounds like people on here are already making excuses about illness in case we lose. FFS they are professional footballers.

I'm just developing a  conspiracy about conspiracies. :>)

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
