Exactly. Grundy was very good.

I don't get the lack of love for Bugg. 30 touches and 9 tackles

Yep i reckon he was a tad ahead of the Jones boy today. 2 goal assists also. Butchers the ball a fair bit dee so that could be what puts some off at present. 65% DE same as Jones.

Ranked No.3 behind Viney and Tyson in my stat rankings. Solid effort and probably his best so far with us. Much room for improvement with speed of decision making and disposal efficiency though. I recall he played some solid stuff against us in his early years with GWS but could be wrong. Maybe why Roos (and/or the recruiters) decided to go after him.

I may slightly differ after I watch the replay, but for me:

6 - Viney

5 - Watts

4 - Gawn

3 - Hogan

2 - Tyson

1 - Wagner

Next five (all could've featured): Lumumba, T-Mac, Bugg, Frost, Kent.

Chunk in the next bracket after that. Didn't think he had his best game - Handballed back into pressure a lot and was not as clean as usual. Still, not a bad performance.

this was difficult and it's something we are not used to having to think about a best 3 let alone a best 6, Bugg, Tmac, Wagner and Frost are all unlucky and with Bernie & Garlett to come back in and Petracca and Nibbler staking their claims we are finally becoming a footy side

Couldn't fit 10 deserving players into 6 spots. N Jones, Bugg,  Wagner, and Kent miss out.

Interesting leaderboard. Gawn deserves to be higher - his value to the side is huge. I would even venture as far as saying, no Gawn, no Melbourne. That said, I can see why the other blokes are up there.

The defence was magnificent, but i am torn the first half was champagne, the second dour-do i back those who got the lead or kept it.

Viney-on all day

Watts-was a rolls royce

Gawn-the game is played on our terms even though grundy had a good day too

Lumumba-broke the lines for us

Jetta-love his heart

Tyson-haters be gone.

Apologies to Pederson/N.Jones/Bugg/Wagner/McDonald/Harmes

There are various surprises after 4 rounds, but Jesse Hogan with only 1 vote is surely one of them.

Neville Jetta with only 2 surprises me. He is the best small back in the league on current form.

Four out Four games, he's the first defender I want to see each week picked (Salem/Vince not far behind)

I may be a little harsh, but i'm wanting to see more from Salem.

What he has done has been good, but he has the skill-set to take his game to another level. We'd be such a better team off of his improvement alone.

For mine, he is still in 4th gear.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
