I just realised and threw up in my mouth a little

We're wearing our white away guernsey. It's horrible. We don't look tough in it and it sucks watching the highlights. Not good to use any great marks or goals for branding or marketing when wearing it. I wish they'd wear the red one.

Who else hates it?

The red one is no longer in existence unfortunately. The club shelved it after the AFL only approved using it against two teams (or so they were saying at the Demonshop when I was there last week).

Shame, I really liked it.

I know grand scheme of things it's nothing but it is one of my annoyances about us EVERY YEAR playing an away game to this mob. That plus the fact we miss potential good gate takings, it's an annual frustration.

The AFL's rationale was that "red" is a dark colour, not a light one and we need a "light" colour for a clash guernsey.

Somehow Essendon gets away with having their normal jumper with grey and a wider red sash - not sure how that qualifies as "light". May be part of the reason we never get a home game against them as stupid as that sounds.

Play the way we did last week throughout the season and we won't need to worry about fixturing next year.

It's an unfortunate part of the AFL beast. It's not fair. But it's the way it works.

This is true but we also are the home team on queens birthday every year
Im not sure it matters that much, i believe this week replacement home game anyway? If they are so keen to keep those NT games they must be more profitable than the takings from this game anyway

If we win by 60+ I'll be pretty happy to watch the highlights time and again.

hell, if we win every game by 60 plus  - I'd be happy watching in a freakin Collingwood jumper. (or bukk nekkid - neither option is particularly appealing)

This is quite amazing we almost made it to April before the clash jumper subject raise it's head.

I don't care what we wear when we are winning.

For me it is the winning not the clash jumper that counts.

No, but they are more profitable than the home games against Freo, Port, Suns, Giants etc that we get every single year.

I'll care if we are forced to wear them in a finals series. Of course if we win a flag I'll be delirious anyway but it will be a shame if we have to raise the cup in a white uniform instead of our traditional navy blue with red yolk.

In all honesty Dr if we win the grand final I wont even notice what jumper we are wearing.

However I would not worry about it in 2016 perhaps 2018 /9 it might be a problem.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
